โจThe cryptocurrency market had a rollercoaster week, driven by the latest news on the Bitcoin ETF front. Following a robust recovery fueled by news of Grayscale's successful complaint with the SEC and a potential reevaluation of the Bitcoin ETF proposal, BTC retraced back to its previous price range as the Securities and Exchange Commission postponed approval for ETF proposals from other Wall Street giants.
โจOver the past week, the crypto market decreased by ~$11B (from ~$1,053B to ~$1,042B) of its total capitalization.
โจBTC Calms at $26K
โ Weeks of mostly stagnant price movement suddenly shifted on Tuesday as Grayscale secured a significant legal victory against the SEC regarding its GBTC conversion into a spot Bitcoin ETF.
โ BTC immediately responded with a rapid increase, breaking through the $26K resistance level. Within hours, its price surged by over $2K, reaching a multi-week high above $28K.
โ However, this surge was short-lived, and BTC retraced by $1K within the next 24 hours. The situation worsened on Thursday and Friday as the asset dipped by more than $1,5K, touching an 11-week low of $25,3K on multiple exchanges. Now, BTC hovers just below $26K
โจTON, IOTA, XDC Soar Weekly
โ TON has been more than 30% up for the past week. This makes it the best performer on a 7-day scale, followed by IOTA (17%) and XDC (10%).
โ Except DOGE, which saw slight growth, most major altcoins such as ETH, XRP, ADA, TRX, DOT, MATIC, LTC, BNB, SOL, and SHIB are slightly red.

โจIn the opening week of September, the cryptocurrency market displayed stability akin to August's. This is despite positive developments like Visa experimenting with stablecoin payments on Solana and the 'super app' Grab introducing a Web3 wallet for the Singapore region.
โจOver the past week, the crypto market decreased by ~$7B (from ~$1,042B to ~$1,035B) of its total capitalization.
โจBTC Boring Below $26K
โ September hasn't brought much excitement to BTC's price performance, the month kicked off with a sharp drop to an 11-week low at $25,3K, following the surge past $28K following Grayscale's legal victory.
โ Since then, BTC has only managed to recover about $0,5K and has held steady until Thursday. Bulls then took control, pushing BTC by several hundred dollars, resulting in a weekly high of $26,4K.
โ However, as with recent price surges, this one was short-lived, and the cryptocurrency quickly lost momentum. It has remained below $26K ever since, and the past 24 hours have seen little change.
โ Its market capitalization hovers just above $500B
โจTON Leads the Way South
โ ETH, BNB, XRP, and TRX are also slightly in the red as well. All of them have retraced by up to 2% and trade at $1,612, $211, $0.5, and under $0.08, respectively.
โ DOGE, ADA, SOL, DOT, MATIC, LTC, and SHIB have lost more value in a week, with drops between 3-6%. TON has declined the most from the larger-cap alts. TON is down by 10% and has slumped way below $1,72.
