Lie vs. lay



✔️Say: I am going to lie down for an hour.



👁‍🗨 دوستان فعل lie به معنی استراحت کردن هستش. این فعل یک فعل لازم هست که نباید بعد از آن هیچ مفعولی استفاده بشه.شکل گذشته این فعل lay میباشد و اسم مفعول آن lain.

اما فعل lay به معنی قرار دادن یا تخم گذاشتن هست که یک فعل متعدی است و همیشه بعد از آن باید از یک مفعول استفاده شود. شکل گذشته و اسم مفعول آن هر دو laid هستش.



📃The hen has laid on egg.
📃Please lay out your exam papers on the desk.



🔲فعل lie به معنی دروغ گفتن هم هست. اگه بخواین در این معنی ازش استفاده کنید توجه داشته باشید که شکل گذشته و اسم مفعول آن هر دو lied هست.
