🚨 Come be my first PhD student and join our young lab!🚨
We have an open position, involving ultrafast (broadband) THz spectroscopy which you will use to study the impact of disorder on the motion of electrons in perovskite materials.
Experience with ultrafast spectroscopy, optics, proficiency in (soft- and hardware) programming (for example in Python) and/or perovskite materials preparation is a nice bonus, but not essential: most things you will learn as you go. Initiative and creativity are highly valued and you should be motivated to dig into this project with me for four years.
You can only apply through the official channels via the link below:

Title of Research Project: Real-time Renewable Power System Inertia Estimation and Control.
Abstract of Project: In this project, we aim to estimate and monitor the inertia of renewable power systems in real-time using artificial intelligence techniques. The power system under study includes both traditional synchronous generators and renewable energy sources. These renewable sources are integrated into the grid using both grid-following and grid-forming inverters. Additionally, we will demonstrate the impact of increasing penetration of renewable sources on system inertia under various scenarios and develop methods to support and enhance renewable power system inertia.
How to Get Involved: Compose an email to Dr. Rouhani (hosseinrouhani@nkust.edu.tw) as contact person, expressing your interest in collaborating on the project and arranging a time for an online discussion.
We look forward to your enthusiastic participation and are excited to support you in your research journey.
