Text: George Floyd Square is preparing to welcome protesters from the 36th and Cedar protest in south mpls. We are calling for evac drivers to help transport protesters, people to hold space, and warm drinks and food to feed and care for protesters who need a safe place to hold it down. Per community leaders, this is a sacred space, and we want to make sure it stays that way so people can recover and stay safe.

In #Richmond VA tonight, around 75 people gathered for a #NYE noise demo at the Justice Center. Signs were re-painted, fireworks blasted, and when cops blocked in the demo's car caravan, people just got out of the car and danced around them. Reports call it the rowdiest #NoiseDemo yet in recent memory in the city.

In #Minneapolis tonight over 100 people braved frigid 16°F weather to march to the juvenile detention center, shoot off fireworks, and tag graffiti. Police rushed the march as it approached the jail, evntually kettling and arresting about a dozen. It was the largest NYE #NoiseDemo in recent memory in the city. #FreeThemAll

Wanting to write this for everyone:
From everyone involved here, thank you. For sticking around, for continuing the fight, for making sure that Black Lives Matter every single day. Every single one of you make this movement worthwhile. 2020 has had it's ups and downs. From the pandemic to the birthing of this movement, we are here continuing the fight for equality and justice.
The fight is changing as are we and going into this new year, know that we are all learning to some degree. Some are learning more than others. And that's fine, more than fine actually, it is progress.
It is transformative justice.
We are not done yet. Not by a long shot. This marathon is going to continue so long as we are willing to make the changes necessary in this world.
And for the trump supporters, the right-wingers, the oppressors lurking about here and else where online:
Expect us, we're not going anywhere.

Minneapolis police killed Bayle Gelle's son, then raided his house in the middle of the night, terrorizing him, his wife, and their younger children.
