They killed a man today, they used illegal chemical weapons on civilians, and they shot folks with impact weapons that have killed or disabled multiple civilians throughout the nation. If people feel they need to take more defensive actions against a nation attacking them, and an economic system consolidating and unhousing them, then so be it. Our relatives didn't fight Carnegie's Pinkerton squad with peace because they were not met with peace. So we should not condemn those who decide to take defensive actions against a militarized force.
