Some interesting statistics for those who are interested. Lancaster police department consists of 145 full time officers. When small cities like Lancaster dedicate 30-50 officers to 1 location to manage a protest, they are unable to do service in other parts of the community. Use that information however you may. Shows of force like this are unnecessary and are bad overall for "crime prevention" because it leaves the rest of the city open and susceptible to crime occurring.

Nightly protests would put a lot of pressure on the community to either hire more police, or force officers into overtime. Officers forced into overtime often quit. So nightly protests have led in some communities to a smaller police department. But Lancaster Police have a hiring ad on their website. So we know they are already struggling to fit their narrative they want to continue increasing their forces and militarize their community. Even more pressure will be put on this department if we show up every night by forcing them to either defund, leave the protests alone, or increase and escalate forces. If they choose the latter, nobody is happy, including everyone working overtime. But Lancaster, you don't have police available for emergency calls when they use riot teams like this. It leaves retail districts open for looting if the people were angry enough to take their anger out like that.

Hey streamer guy, no, these actions involving people throwing or smashing something are also a part of this. They killed a man today, they used illegal chemical weapons on civilians, and they shot folks with impact weapons that have killed or disabled multiple civilians throughout the nation. If people feel they need to take more defensive actions against a nation attacking them, and an economic system consolidating and unhousing them, then so be it. Our relatives didn't fight Carnegie's Pinkerton squad with peace because they were not met with peace. So we should not condemn those who decide to take defensive actions against a militarized force.
