#politics Just to be very clear here, the Defund SPD amendments were just shot down by city council. 54a was only voted 'yes' by Kshama, 7 others opposed, 1 abstained, 54b was not seconded and was just skipped. 54a was set to defund SPD by 50%, 54b was an alternative amendment which would have only defunded SPD by about 25%, and it didn't have an opportunity to be talked about after the 50% proposal was shot down.

Earlier today, a small satellite encampment of Camp JTD that was set up in Eakins Oval was raided by police without warning or notice. 10 tents and all property inside were destroyed by rented bulldozers, brought on trucks with covered license plates.
