protest_nyc Just tweeted ********************************************** The @WarriorsITG march, which began at Bowne Playground in Flushing, has bicycle brigades to protect protesters from traffic in case any of last night's threats of violence are followed through. Hundreds have turned out to prove they won't be stifled by anti-BLM extremists. https://t.co/s8rnP3MLOy

the protest has left the residential streets and is now on northern blvd.
CBP feds (who we also saw in Portland) continuing their old game of terrorizing migrants on the southern border. This is what they are normally up to all of the time. Let's remember the solidarity these protests put us in with those facing the same sort of violent federal repression all the time.

🚨🚨🚨 UPDATE — At sunset last night, in a military-style assault, Border Patrol raided our humanitarian aid camp, chasing and arresting 30+ people who were receiving care and detaining all aid workers, whose phones were confiscated along w/ any video footage…
A really awful, if expected, example of how anti-indigeneity alongside anti-blackness are foundational and structural in policing not only in the United States. Here, a new story from so-called Canada.
Before covid hit, indigenous rail blockades had ground down Canadian logistics almost to a standstill. They were interrupted by the pandemic. The legal repression is now hitting hard. Check out the thread and spread the word if you can. Solidarity.

Windsor Square: Around 900 are gathered in front of Mayor Garcetti’s house demanding rent and eviction cancellations
Millions march all over the country and they shut the fuck up.
Hundreds protest for one day and it's the silent majority talking. These people are so deep in their delusion it's hilarious.
They're gonna lose. They can delay it, they can pull all the tricks they want but they're gonna lose in the end, as always. The arc of a moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.

The Department of Homeland Security should have never existed in the first place. It’s time to get rid of it.

The Portland police attacked protesters without any provocation I could see. People are injured. Apparently the local police are just as violent as federal officers, just like protesters had said.

Tonight was the most brutal treatment that the police have given protesters that I have seen, beating people who were running away, attacking journalists, savagely and cruely mocking people too hurt to escape. At it was Portland Police, not the feds. @tedwheeler…
