(UPDATE: This was from earlier this morning: riot cops surrounded the encampment around 6am, seemed that arrests and evictions might be imminent. But they ended up leaving around 7:30 after tearing down some barricades).

36 years ago, today, labor dissidents and miners participated in a general strike. The police were ordered in by the government to suppress the dissention.
This was in the United Kingdom. The United States has acted in domestic and international killings of striking laborers who decided they have had enough with corruption, exploitation, and wage slavery.
Arm yourself, there is more to come. If we are noticing anything, it is the state sees no problem in ordering violence against unrest. They will criticize Tiananmen Square, and the actions of other governments while orchestrating their own hypocrisy.
