We reject such a message.
We affirm that it is good to be a boy.
We affirm that the strength, energy, and wildness of boys is a good gift from the Lord for the work of building His Kingdom, fighting off serpents, ruling & having dominion, and worshipping the Lord.

Men, take time to encourage the boys & young men around you, especially if they're your sons. Roughhouse with them, give them some hugs, help them direct their energy towards righteousness, and teach them self-control. Teach them to honor the Lord as they love their people & place. Remind them that they are loved, that they belong, that they are not alone.

Remind them that regardless of what the world may say: God did not make a mistake in making them a boy. He said it was "Very Good".

The harvest is plenty.

It's good to be a dad.
It's good to be a son.

Fathers are a son's connection to their identity, to their history, to their place. Our current environment is riddled with sons exasperated to anger by absent or harmful fathers; riddled with sons who don't know they are, where they come from, nor where they are going.

Fathers: keep doing the good work of being there. Maybe you didn't grow up with a good dad yourself. Be all that as it may, you have this God-ordained opportunity set before you to walk worthy in this role.
Stay after it.
You're doing good.
I know it's hard to see the fruit in the heat of the moment—but keep going.
Keep crushing.
The Lord will equip you and fill you as you go.

Sons: honor your fathers. If they you have a bad father, then you honor them through the humble task for excelling where they failed. You got this.
