Jormungandr The World Serpent
To some a monster cast into the sea but to others this is not so. Born a child of The Sea he is most kind and gentle but grown so large as to coil around the entirety of the world.
When he was young he would often play with sailors chasing in their wakes or guiding them to the safety of the shores. But as he grew he noticed the damage and fright his games caused and so he settled to the bottom of the ocean to content himself with chewing on his tail as he try to lay perfectly still.
This causes him great pain but he endures the pain silently so as not to cause us suffering. The tides caused by his breathing, Great waves caused by his stirring, tidal waves when he can bear it no more and stretches. His muscle spasms causing great storms. His yawn creating whirl pools.
So when next you are by the sea during a great storm; ease his pain and be sure to laugh, let him know you have great fun at the waves he causes and love him for his sacrifice.

Flight of Witches
The Witch has many common symbols but possibly the most famous is their magic broom which they ride through the air! This was not always the case, it is a perversion of several elements of Church folklore around the Witch Cults of Europe.
Based on ancient customs such as The Night Battles which tells of a form of catalepsy where the soul is cast or called from the body and goes to travel or fight alongside ones god or fellow witches. This spirit form often flew about shapechanged into an animal and participated in aerial combat. In older depictions the Witch would fly atop an animal familiar such as a bear, goat or giant cock.
For most this was a natural trait there was another type however, one chemically induced via ointments supposedly applied to objects such as tubs, oven scrapers, and brooms.
Though this was rare and highly dangerous, as the ointment contained almost all toxic (aconite, etc) ingredients and was not guaranteed to work.-TLK
