Civilization comes at a cost.
The price is steep, all things good and mighty surrendered, virility, wildness, risk. It costs our Strength, our Courage, our Wisdom, our mastery of self and most of all our honor and nobility.

“The Backwoodsman is a soldier from necessity. Mind and body have been disciplined in a practical warfare. He belongs to this continent and to no other. He is an original. He thinks “big”; he talks “big”; and when it is necessary to toe the mark, he acts “big.” He is the genius of the New World.”

The world may tell you that strength is not necessary to become a man, but I tell you that is a lie.

Sources? Look to wildlife.
The alpha does not worry about the fledgling who yelps in jealousy of position, for the alpha welcomes the challenge and thrives when opposed.

Masculine men hold other men in high regard who are efficient at protecting the tribe, because more capable men means opportunity for the clan to thrive and grow.

Without strength, masculinity becomes hollow and empty, much like the soul it is supposed to inhabit.
It ceases to be.

Tiz not Saint Patricks' Day:

Yon Ole St. Patty iz but a fekkin Teef, stealin da wa nay be belongin to im!

Truth is, this holiday is the feast day of The Smith. The preparation for spring as well as for the season of war and raiding but mostly preparation for spring.
On this day we light the fires and prep the meals for the hard work ahead. When possible a smith of such skill might light the ceremonial bonfire by creating fire with but his hammer and anvil. He will tap such rhythm with the tools of his trade as to create heat enough to spark the tinder to flame.
"What is this magical rhythm?" you might ask.

"Well sonny let me tell ya tiz the most magical of the rhythms it is. Tis the tune to we all tap our toe, a gift of Ogma to Da' Smit, tis the rhythm of our blood, the rhythm of love and of war." says I.

Tis the time we come together replace the forks, patch the pans, repair the plows, sharpen the knives. But most importantly we sing & dance for the joys tomorrow might bring & the sorrow of yesterday!

In Wagner's opera “the High Messenger of the Grail”, Kudry is the messenger who reveals to Parsifal his name and tells him of the death of his mother.
In the domain of the Grail, Kundry is a peculiar wild woman who often is found sleeping in the undergrowth.
