1- A. A. that enter the TCA cycle *through its intermediates* will be glucogenic, because they will end as OAA.
2- Acetyl CoA cannot synthesize glucose because its reaction is irreversible; and if it enters the TCA cycle, it will be oxidized to Co2 & H2O.
3- Trypsin has a central role in protein digestion because it also activates other proteolytic enzymes.
4- The difference between trypsin & carboxypeptidase B is that the latter is an "exopeptidase" acting on the terminal a. a. and releasing it, but trypsin is an endopeptidase.
5- Transamination reactions require PLP.
6- D A.A. deamination is not present in humans.
7- Fumarate is converted to malate in the cytosol by a cytosolic fumarase; then, it enters the TCA cycle. (or it can enter the mitochondria & be converted there... هكي قالت الدكتورة 🤷🏻♀)
8- There are 2 types of Carbamoyl Phosphate Synthetase: CPS-1 & CPS-2.
The one that participates in the urea cycle is: CPS-1
