Israel's government has moved to shut down the operations of the Al Jazeera television network in the country, branding it a mouthpiece for Hamas.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the cabinet agreed to the closure while the war in Gaza is ongoing.

Al Jazeera called claims it was a threat to Israeli security a "dangerous and ridiculous lie".

Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels face off on tense day in court

For years, Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump have been locked in a public battle over an alleged sexual encounter, a hush-money deal paid by the former president's fixer, and their respective efforts to own the very public narrative.

The largest of the city's three partially functioning hospitals, Abu Youssef al-Najjar, had to be hastily abandoned the following day after staff received an evacuation order and there was fighting nearby. read more
US says Israel may have breached international law with American weapons in Gaza

The US says Israel may have used American-supplied weapons in breach of international humanitarian law in some instances during the war in Gaza.

It is "reasonable to assess" that those arms have been used in ways "inconsistent" with Israel's obligations, says the state department.

But it added that the US did not have complete information in its assessment and that shipments could continue.

Georgia is in trouble.

After years of something close to calm, this small, stunningly beautiful country, sandwiched between the pale beaches of the Black Sea and the snow-dusted Caucasus mountains, is facing a fork in the road - and with it the risk that it may slide back to political instability or even towards the sort of chaos that scarred its early decades of post-Soviet independence.
