⬅️Lockheed Martin has signed an agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense to quadruple the production of interceptors for the THAAD defense system over a seven-year period, increasing from 96 missiles to 400 missiles per year. This announcement follows an agreement signed earlier this month between the two parties aimed at accelerating the production of PAC-3MSE interceptors up to 2,000 missiles per year.

Since the first term of the Trump administration, Lockheed Martin has invested over $7 billion to increase the production capacity of priority systems, about $2 billion of which is specifically dedicated to accelerating ammunition production.
