It was reported from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

Whoever takes people’s money with the intention of repaying it, Allaah will help him to repay it;

whoever takes people’s money with the intention of wasting it, Allaah will destroy him.

Young Children are rewarded for Good Deeds

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah -rahimullaah- said :
‘Young children are rewarded for what they do from good deeds, even though the pen has been lifted from them in regards to bad deeds.
As is established in Saheeh Muslim that a woman lifted up her child towards the Prophet ﷺ and asked:
ألهذا حج؟
‘Can he perform Hajj?’
The Prophet answered:
نعم، ولكِ أجر
‘Yes, and you (also) get a reward.’
Collected by Muslim in his book.’
Ibn Taymeeyah continues:
‘. . . . so a young child is rewarded for his prayer, fasting, Hajj as well as other good actions. He is given preference due to that, over the one who does not do good deeds like him.’

“والأطفال الصغار يُثابون على ما يفعلونه من الحسنات ، وإن كان القلم مرفوعاً عنهم في السيئات ؛ كما ثبت في الصحيح أن النبي ﷺ رفعت إليه امرأة صبياً فقالت : (ألهذا حج؟ قال : نعم، ولكِ أجر} رواه مسلم في صحيحه.
فالصبي يُثاب على صلاته وصومه وحجه وغير ذلك من أعماله ، ويفضل بذلك على من لم يعمل كعمله”

And it was narrated that Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “On the Day of Resurrection, when people who had suffered affliction are given their reward, those who were healthy will wish their skins had been cut to pieces with scissors when they were in the world.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2402. See al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, no. 2206.

Ja’far al-Ṣadiq’s advice to his son Mūsā al-Khādim:

O’ my son, the one who is satisfied with what he has is truly wealthy, while the one who desires that which another possesses is truly poor.

And know also that whoever exposes people’s sins, his own sins will be exposed.

O you who believe! When you intend to offer as-Salat (the prayer), wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to the ankles. If you are in a state of Janaba (i.e. had a sexual discharge), purify yourself (bathe your whole body). But if you are ill or on a journey or any of you comes from answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (i.e. intercourse) and you find no water, then perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub therewith your faces and hands. Allaah does not want to place you in difficulty, but He wants to purify you, and to complete His Favour on you that you may be thankful. Soorah Al-Ma’idah [5:6]

When the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ would get up at night to perform the night prayer, _Tahjjud_, he would recite:

“O’ Allāh, to You belongs all praise, You are the Light of the Heavens and the Earth and all that is between them. To You belongs all praise, You are the Sustainer of the Heavens and the Earth and all that is between them. To You belongs all praise, You are the Truth, Your promise is true, Your speech is true, the meeting with You is true, Paradise is true, Hell is true, the Prophets are true, Muhammad [صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ] is true and the Final Hour is true. O’ Allāh, to You I submit myself, in You I believe, in You I put my trust, to You I repent, by Your help I strive [against Your enemies] and to You I refer for judgement, therefore forgive me my past and future sins,, what I have hidden and what I have made public.
You are al-Muqaddim, the Expediter, the One Who brings forward, and al-Mu’akhkhir the Delayer, the One Who puts back. None has the right to be worshipped except you and the is no diety [worthy of worship] except You. There is no power or might but with You Allāh.”

Saheeh at-Tirmidhi 1122 | Shaykh al-Albāni رحمه الله | Saheeh

TN: The word _Tahajjud_ derives from _hujūd_, which is doing one thing and then the opposite, therefore the word hajada may mean he slept or it may mean he stayed up at night, which are opposites. The Tahajjud prayer is an optional prayer that is to be performed in the night. It is required that a person sleeps a little before he gets up for the _Tahajjud_ prayer. It can be performed anytime between Ishā and Fajr. For further reading please refer to Tafseer at-Tabari, 10/307

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

In Paradise there is a market to which they would come every Friday. The north wind will blow and would scatter fragrance on their faces and on their clothes and would add to their beauty and loveliness, and then they would go back to their family after having an added lustre to their beauty and loveliness, and their family would say to them: By Allah, you have been increased in beauty and loveliness after leaving us, and they would say: By Allah, you have also increased in beauty and loveliness after us.

“I have been asking my Lord for a need for twenty years. Yet, I have still not received it, and nor have I given up hope.”

When Imam Al-Hasan Al-Basri (رحمه الله) came across a group of people arguing, he would say: "These ones have become tired of worship, speaking has become easy for them, and their Taqwa (fear of Allāah) has diminished, and that is why they talk and argue so easily."

“Know that the recitation of the Qur’ān is the most emphasized of all remembrances, so it is befitting to be consistent over it, and not to miss it even for a day or a night.”

A Bedouin once passed by Basra and said: “Who is the Master of this city?” It was said to him: "Al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī.“ He said: ”And how did he become their master?” They said: “He had no need of their worldly effects but they were in need of his knowledge.”

Ibn Rajab related this story while explaining the ḥadīth of Abū al-Dardā’: ’Whoever takes a path that he shall seek knowledge on...(p. 154)’ May Allāh have mercy on Al-Ḥasan who said: “Everything has something staining it, and the stain of Sacred Knowledge is covetousness.”
