THE IMPORTANCE OF PAYING ANY OUTSTANDING DEBT WHICH WAS STILL BINDING UPON THE DECEASED
Debt is a responsibility burden that should be settled by the debtor. Every Muslim should have the determination to settle his debt. This determination should be accompanied with efforts to settle the debt. In a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah (may ALLĀH be pleased with him), the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever takes the money of the people with the intention of repaying it, ALLĀH will repay it on his behalf, and whoever takes it in order to spoil it, then ALLĀH will spoil him." {al-Bukhārī #2387}.
If a person who has a debt dies, then it is obligatory for the debt to be settled using the property that deceased person left. Foremost of that which benefits the deceased is the payment of any outstanding debt which the deceased still owed, since the deceased is held accountable for any debt until it is repaid, and the seriousness of dying in a state of debt is not to be taken lightly, in this regard there are many authentic aḥādīth.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) who said that the Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said: "The soul of the believer remains suspended because of his debt, until it is settled on his behalf." {Ahmad #9679}
As-Suyooti said regarding the meaning of this: “It is detained and kept back from reaching its noble destination.” {Tuhfatul Ahwadhee, 4/193}
On the authority of Muhammad bin Jahsh (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) who said that the Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said: "By the one in Whose Hand is my soul, if a man were killed in battle for the sake of ALLĀH, then brought back to life, then killed and brought back to life, then killed, whilst he owed a debt, he would not enter Paradise until his debt was settled on his behalf." {Ahmad #22493}
Al-Hāfiz Ibn Hajar (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: This hadīth indicates how difficult the issue of debt is, and that it should not be undertaken except in cases of necessity. {Fath al-Bari, 4/547}
The payment of the debt should be settled first using the money left by the deceased before it is divided to the heirs. If the inheritance left is insufficient to settle the debt of the deceased, it is not obligatory for the heirs to pay off the debt. However, if the heirs decide to help settle the debt, then it is included as goodness towards the deceased. Surely, it is a good deed towards the deceased and the best for the heirs.
Shaikh ‘Abdul-‘Azīz bin Bāz (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: “If he (the deceased) had any debts; then it is obligatory to hasten in settling them from his wealth if he had any wealth, and if he did not have any wealth then it is legislated for his heirs from his offspring and relatives that they make payment of it on his behalf, since payment on his behalf is from the greatest of charities upon him.” {Fatāwa Noor ‘alaa ad-Darb, 2/1153}
Shaikh Zaid bin Hādi al-Madkhali (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "It is not conditional that the one who undertakes the repayment of debt should only be a heir of the deceased, rather it is correct that the heir can repay it and it is correct that someone other than the heir from the Muslims can repay it, all of that is productive and beneficial." {Afnān an-Nadiyyah 2/502}

Types of People in Ramadan”
A believing servant must welcome the month of Ramadan in the best way. Yet people differ greatly in how they receive this blessed month.
🍃 One group welcomes Ramadan by focusing heavily on markets. They buy many kinds of food, dishes, and sweets. They treat Ramadan as a month of eating instead of worship. In many homes, spending on food rises far beyond normal needs. People waste a lot. They place many dishes on the table, but only a small portion gets eaten.
🍁 Another group prepares for Ramadan by arranging games, entertainment, and distractions. They set up activities that waste their valuable time. Some of these activities even cause harm. They complete these preparations before Ramadan begins.
🍂 There are also people upon whom Allah bestows special favor. They prepare for Ramadan spiritually. Good thoughts fill their hearts. They fix a time for the Quran. They make time for remembrance of Allah. They stand in night prayer. They plan to help the needy. They set aside time to spend in the path of Allah and attend gatherings of knowledge. Many paths of good stand open before them.
For some people, the month of Ramadan feels short. They have many intentions for worship and good deeds. They want to stay active in different acts of obedience. Yet they feel that time is limited.
Another type treats Ramadan like any other month. It passes over them just like the rest of the year. Even the night which the Quran describes as better than a thousand months passes like an ordinary night for many people. This is a great loss and a clear deprivation. Wasting such a precious blessing does not suit a Muslim.
So a Muslim should welcome this month in the best way. He should value it. He should prepare himself so that he truly becomes among the people of Ramadan.

“Am I to fast while traveling?”
And he was a man who fasted a lot.

ʿAa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that Hamzah ibn ʿAmr al-Aslami, who was known for fasting frequently, asked the Prophet ﷺ about fasting while traveling. The Prophet ﷺ clarified that fasting during travel is a matter of choice, and that Allah has granted a concession to the traveler. A person may either fast or break the fast, depending on what is easier for them, and there is no sin in choosing either option.

✨ This hadith establishes that fasting while traveling is permissible, and that breaking the fast is a legislated concession from Allah. It shows that Islam is built upon ease and mercy, and that rulings take into account a person’s ability and condition. The hadith also clarifies that accepting Allah’s concession is not blameworthy, nor is fasting for the one who is able without hardship.

You’re stressed about marriage.
About your career.
About your rizq.
You keep asking:
“What if I don’t make it?”
“What if I fail?”
“What if I’m left behind?”
But when was the last time you asked:
“What if I meet Allah tonight?”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Remember often the destroyer of pleasures — death.” (Tirmidhi 2307)
Because death does what advice can’t.
It crushes your ego.
It ends your excuses.
It reminds you your plans mean nothing if your soul isn’t ready.
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ
“Every soul shall taste death.” (3:185)
You’re securing your dunya.
But what have you secured for your akhirah?
You’re not promised another salah.
Not another Ramadan.
Not even another breath.
“Later” is Shaytan’s biggest lie.
If you woke up in your grave tonight, would you be ready?
This isn’t to scare you.
It’s to wake you up.
Allah still wants you to return.
So… will you?
About your career.
About your rizq.

As many of us are excited this Ramadaan let's remember some of us are sad and heavy hearted this Ramadaan.
Some of us have lost family members who will not be with us this Ramadaan
Some of us have gone through divorce and are struggling as single mums with young children to look after and fasting all alone
Some of us have lost a husband (or a husband has lost his wife) and is struggling to cope
Some sisters have suffered a miscarriage or stillborn or some parents have lost a child whom they will dearly this Ramadaan
Some of us are living in non Muslim countries and have no immediate family
Some of us have health issues and cannot fast this year
Some of us are going through mental illness such as depression, anxiety, PTSD etc
Some of us are suffering from evil eye, magic and jinn posession issues
Some of u are struggling financially, their husbands have lost jobs and can barely afford anything
Lets be kind and considerate to everyone this Ramadaan. If they don't turn up for Taraweeh or Salaah don't judge them. If someone is not fasting they might be sick, remember not every sickness is physical or visible.
Invite others to your home and share Iftaar or send food to your local Islamic centre or Masjid as many are lonely and depressed doing it all alone. Check up on your sisters in Islaam
For those going through hardships be patient for the sake of Allah. Dont let Shaytaan make you feel depressed because Shaytaan loves it when a believer is sad. Ask Allah to keep you steadfast, turn to Him for truly He's the Best of Helpers.
On the authority of Abu Musa who said:
❝When the Messenger [ﷺ] would send one of his companions for something he would say: ‘Give good news and do not push people away. Make things easy and do not make things difficult.’❞

On the authority of Sufyan Bin ‘Uayainah, on the authority of Ibn Al-Munkadir in a narration ascribed to the Prophet [ﷺ]:

"Fasting" is proof that you can stop bad habits.
"Taraweeh" is proof that you can pray voluntary prayers at night.
"Suhur" is proof that you can wake up for Fajr.
"Iftar" is proof that you can do Sabr.
Islam isn't hard. You just haven't realized your own potential yet.

Ramadan will come, and people will fall into four groups.
The first group:
Ramadan enters, and nothing changes. No fasting. No prayer. No concern for the commands of Allah.
The second group:
They abstain from food, drink, and marital relations. But their tongues are still loose. They backbite. They slander. They hurt others.
The third group:
They fast properly. They guard their tongues. They avoid harming others. They stay away from what is haram.
But then there is a fourth group.
They do everything the third group does and more.
They engage the heart.
They read Qur’an daily.
They stand in Qiyam.
They increase in Sadaqah.
They make Dhikr.
They purify their intentions.
They honour Ramadan as the sacred symbol of Islam that it is.
They don’t just fast from food.
They fast from distraction.
From ego.
From heedlessness.
And through that… they attain Taqwa.
The question is: which group will we choose to be in?

Be careful not to become the reason someone turns to Allaah in pain, fear, or deep regret because of you.
Every tear they cry is seen by Him. Every broken prayer is heard.
You may forget what you did, but Allaah never misses the hurt done to His servants. What you cause in silence is never hidden from Him.
So choose kindness. Choose fairness. Because one day, every action will be answered before Him ﷻ

May the Qur’an be a witness for us and never against us.
In every generation, the danger has never been the absence of the Qur’an but the absence of living by it. Today, many people memorise beautifully, recite perfectly, and collect books of tafsīr and ḥadīth… yet the Qur’an remains distant from their actions. We honour its words with our tongues, but forget its commands in our daily choices.
The Prophet ﷺ warned us of a time when people would carry the Qur’an but not allow it to transform their character. Knowledge becomes decoration, not guidance. Memorisation becomes competition, not reflection. We gather verses in our hearts, but fail to let them shape our homes, our dealings, our justice, our compassion, our integrity, and our worship.
This is the real fear:
A person may stand on the Day of Judgement with the very Qur’an they memorised testifying against them not because they lacked knowledge, but because they abandoned practice.
Look at our world today: injustice spreads, families break, hearts harden, and yet Qur’ans sit on shelves untouched except in ceremonies. We have replaced implementation with information, reflection with repetition, and obedience with selective comfort.
The Qur’an was not revealed to be recited only it was revealed to reform.
Not to be memorised alone but to be manifested.
Not to be placed above our heads but to govern our lives.
So let this be our reminder:
Every verse is either a proof for us or a proof against us.
Let us strive to make it a guide we follow, a healing we seek, and a witness that speaks in our favour on the Day when nothing else will.
O Allah, make the Qur’an the light of our hearts, the guide of our actions, and the witness that pleads for us, not against us.

On the authority of ʿAa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said:
Hamzah ibn ʿAmr al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Prophet ﷺ:
“Am I to fast while traveling?”
And he was a man who fasted a lot.
So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“If you wish, then fast, and if you wish, then break your fast.”
(Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim.)

Are You Fasting?
Fasting is more than an empty plate.
The body can be restrained for a day.
But can the heart be restrained for a month?
It is easy to abandon food.
It is harder to abandon arrogance.
It is easy to leave water.
It is harder to leave anger.
It is easy to count the hours until Maghrib.
It is harder to count the words we release.
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:
“Whoever does not give up false speech and acting upon it and ignorance, Allāh has no need of him leaving his food and drink.”
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, 1903
Fasting was not prescribed to make us hungry.
Allāh ﷻ says:
“O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you that you may attain taqwā.”
Sūrah al-Baqarah 2:183
Taqwā is not thirst.
It is restraint when tempted.
It is patience when provoked.
It is sincerity when unseen.
It is guarding the heart before guarding the plate.
Ramadān is not only about what we avoid.
It is about who we become.
A true fast refines the tongue,
softens the heart,
strengthens the character,
and reminds the soul of its Lord.
May Allāh ﷻ allow our fasting to transform us, not just tire us.
Āmīn.

Having Taqwā is Success
وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًاوَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ
حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ
"Whoever has Taqwa of Allah -He will give him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect"

Supplication (Du'aa) for Protection and Combating Magic (Sihr):
Beneficial supplication that can be very effective by the permission of Allah, in removing the evil effects of witchcraft (Sihr).
Narrated by Taab'i, Ka’b al-Ahbar (Radiy'Allahu'Anhu) states:
“Had it not been for the phrases that I recite regularly, the Jews would have turned me into a Donkey (out of Witchcraft). It was said to him: “What are these phrases ?” He replied:
Transliteration:
“A’uzu bi wajhillah al-Adhim alladhi laysa shay’un a’dhamu minhu wa bi kalimatillah at-tammati allati la yujawizuhunna barrun wa la fajir wa bi asmaillah al-husna kulliha ma alimtu minha wa ma lam a’lam min sharri ma khalaqa wa bara’a wa zara’a.”
Translation:
“I seek the protection of Allah the Great; He, than whom there is nothing greater. And I seek the protection of the perfect words of Allah which no man, virtuous or evil, can even transcend; and I seek the protection of all the beautiful names of Allah, those of them which I know and those which I do not know, from the evil of everything He (Allah) created, to which He has given existence, and which He has spread (over the earth or universe).”

There are people who wake up for Fajr…
And there are people who unlock Hajj and ‘Umrah before breakfast.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever prays Fajr in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until the sun rises, then prays two rak‘ahs, will have the reward of Hajj and ‘Umrah complete, complete, complete.”
(Tirmidhi)
Complete.
Complete.
Complete.
Think about that.
No ihram.
No airport.
No long journey.
Just:
• Fajr in the Masjid
• Sitting in dhikr, Qur’an, tasbih, reflection
• Waiting until sunrise
• Two rak‘ahs
And Allah writes for you the reward of Hajj and ‘Umrah.
The early scholars used to guard this time fiercely. They knew the first hour of the day determines the barakah of everything that follows.
Most people rush into dunya at sunrise.
The believer rushes into Jannah before sunrise.
Tomorrow morning…
Don’t just pray Fajr.
Stay.
And watch what Allah writes for you.

✒ Majority Of Muslim Lives Are Between 60-70 Years

Allah took responsibility for who reads the Quran and acts on what is in it; he won't go astray in this life nor despair in hereafter.

📖 1. The Nafs Commands to Evil
Surah Yusuf (12:53)
Wa mā ubarri’u nafsī, inna an-nafsa la-ammāratun bis-sū’i illā mā raḥima rabbī. Inna rabbī ghafūrun raḥīm.
English:
“And I do not absolve myself. Indeed, the soul is surely a persistent enjoiner of evil, except those upon which my Lord has mercy. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful.”
👉 This shows that sometimes the danger is not Shaytan it is our own Nafs.
📖 2. Shaytan Only Whispers
Surah Ibrahim (14:22)
Arabic:
وَمَا كَانَ لِىَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّآ أَن دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَٱسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِى
Wa mā kāna lī ‘alaykum min sulṭānin illā an da‘awtukum fastajabtum lī.
English:
“And I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me.”
👉 Shaytan only invites. The Nafs accepts.
📖 3. Success is in Controlling the Nafs
Surah An-Nazi‘at (79:40–41)
Wa ammā man khāfa maqāma rabbihī wa nahā an-nafsa ‘anil-hawā, fa inna al-jannata hiya al-ma’wā.
English:
“But as for he who feared standing before his Lord and restrained the soul from (its) desires, then indeed, Paradise will be his refuge.”
“Shaytan whispers… but the Nafs decides.
The real battle is within.”
“In Ramadan, Shaytan is chained…
Yet sins still happen. Why?
Because the Nafs is still alive.
The real jihad is against the self.”
(Qur’an 12:53 | 79:40-41)
