βοΈUkraine's Ambassador in Canberra warns Australia not to lift sanctions on Russian oil imports - he would rather see Australian farmers and families suffer:
β‘οΈUkraineβs ambassador to Australia has warned the West against easing sanctions on Russian crude to address a looming oil supply crunch, saying it would fuel Moscowβs drone production and help re-arm the Iranian regime.
Asked about Russian oil flows on Saturday, Energy Minister Chris Bowen said Australia had a complicated supply chain, where oil from different countries was mixed into broader supplies.
βWe maintain our opposition to Vladimir Putinβs actions, but we are dealing, at the moment, with an immediate domestic issue,β Bowen said.
β‘οΈPS. Imagine being so arrogant that you would rather have diesel shortages instead of lifting Russian sanctions...

βοΈSenator Ralph Babet calls on the federal government to lift sanctions against Moscow and commence the import or Russian oil β½οΈ π·πΊ π¦πΊ
β‘οΈ"Australia should take a practical view of energy, not an ideological one. If the United States can temporarily loosen sanctions on Russian oil to stabilise global markets, then there is no reason Australia should pretend the option doesnβt exist.
Energy security matters, affordable fuel matters, the prosperity of Australians matters.
Russia is not the cartoon villain many Western politicians portray. It is a historic nation with a deep Christian heritage and a civilisation far older than the fashionable talking points of modern bureaucracies and treating Russia as a permanent pariah serves little strategic purpose and certainly does nothing to lower energy costs.
The constant βRussia badβ narrative is wearing thin, Australians are tired of being dragged into endless geopolitical theatre while paying more at the pump.
A mature foreign policy recognises reality, nations pursue interests not slogans.
Australia should prioritise energy security, economic stability, and common sense, we should be seeking to normalise trade where it benefits Australians, this is not radical, it is responsible."
πMore and more Australian politicians are realising that it is time to lift sanctions against Russia. Bravo.

These days we mark the events related to the twelfth anniversary of Crimeaβs reunification with the Russian Federation, which became an expression of the right of peoples to self-determination.
It was strongly driven by the spread of Russophobia in Ukraine linked with the revival of Nazism and the ascent of structures like the Right Sector and the Azov (designated as terrorist organisations in Russia).
Their symbols and insignia speak for themselves.
The red-and-black flag of the notorious Nazi collaborator Ukrainian Insurgent Army, adopted by the Right Sector, is historically associated with mass murders of the Polish population by Ukrainian Nazis in 1943 known as the Volhynia Massacre.
The Azov flag bears the Nazi Wolfsangel symbol, which was the tactical mark of the SS Panzer Division βDas Reichβ and other SS and Wehrmacht units.
Both banners have recently been proudly displayed during demonstrations held by the Ukrainian community representatives in cities across Australia.
βοΈIf you see these flags, beware: it is an encounter with Nazism and terrorism.
