Update: The General Consulate confirms that Larissa Vakulina did not resign but rather her powers of the Honorary Consul General of the Russian Federation in the states of South and Western Australia L.A. Vakulina were terminated from February 1, 2026 in accordance with the Order of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs No. 1055 of January 28, 2026.
