โDmitry Medvedev:
โ1. A perfect example of U.S. โpeacekeeping.โ A hard military operation in an independent country that posed no threat whatsoever to the United States. The seizure by special forces of a legally elected president together with his wife. Of course, all of this strictly within the framework of international law and domestic legislation, in coordination with Congress. Almost complete silence from democratic Europe. Guaranteed love in Latin America, where the Monroe Doctrine is extremely popular. In short, another brilliant step toward the Nobel Prize.
2. Trump should have shown the same level of energy as in Venezuela somewhere entirely different. The trained Ukrainian animals, coked up in Kiev, have completely gotten out of hand. Theyโve stopped listening to the ringmaster of the circus. The example of Venezuela is unlikely to sober them up. Still, it would be nice if the U.S. attacked the military bases of Banderastan, and American special forces captured the gang of drug addicts on Bankova Street. Maybe itโs time already, Uncle Sam?
3. The operation in Caracas became the best proof of the fact that any state must strengthen its armed forces to the maximum, not allowing various rich, arrogant actors to casually change the constitutional order in search of oil or something else. And maximum strengthening that guarantees reliable protection of a country means only one thing: a nuclear arsenal!
Long live nuclear weapons!โ

โ๏ธKidnapping world leaders looks like the latest trend? ๐
But on a serious note, everyone in the comments section who is demanding that Russia needs to step in save Maduro's Venezuela the answer is NO.
Russia should only care about itself. Russia and the USSR have spent the last 100 years funding, arming and saving governments around the world particularly in Africa, eastern Europe, South America and South East Asia.
Where have all those ungrateful countries been during the SMO since 2022? Only North Korea sent troops and Iran helped with Shahed drones...

โ๏ธObservations on Trump's successful 3 hour Special Military Operation in Caracas:
1. It is possible that Maduro was compromised by elements within his own military or inner circle, who may have disabled air-defense systems and allowed U.S. helicopters to operate without resistance. The United States would be unlikely to expose it's pilots to a hostile environment without strong assurances of safety. Historically, several South American governments have been undermined by defections at the senior military level, so such a scenario would not be unprecedented considering the $50 million incentive offered for Maduro's capture.
2. Some Russian commentators have expressed frustration that a similar operation was not carried out against Zelensky on 24 February 2022. The good news is that since Trump's kidnapping of a head of state operation has been accepted internationally, it is now a precedent which Russia or any other power out there can use.
3. The longer-term concern is that the United States will move to assert control over Venezuelaโs oil sector, increasing global supply and placing downward pressure on crude prices. Such an outcome would be unfavorable Russia, although any meaningful impact would likely take several years to materialize.
