Video: Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine honors SS veteran in a state sponsored burial ceremony, 2020
The solemn funeral of the 99-year-old veteran of the 14th SS Division Galicia, Mikhail Mulik, took place in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. People wore Nazi uniforms at the funeral service, which was attended by the ex-Vice-Prime-Minister of Ukraine, now Regional Governor Oleksandr Sych (a guy in a black coat giving interview to a local tv channel, time mark 2:00).
On the orders of the municipality, this member of the SS was buried not just some ordinary cemetery but in the central Avenue of Glory in Ivano-Frankivsk.
Oleksandr Sych is a member of the neo-nazi All-Ukrainian Union โSvobodaโ party, whose leader charged that Ukraine was being controlled by a โMuscovite-Jewish mafiaโ.
The World Jewish Congress called on the European Union to consider banning what it considered neo-Nazi parties, including Svoboda.

New Zealand war correspondent Tom Mutch is surprised by the presence of neo-Nazi symbols in the Ukrainian army.
The journalist encountered Nazi symbols in the Nikolaev region. Over the AFU tank, Ukrainian militants proudly raised a flag with the image of the Black Sun, which is a Nazi symbol. The journalist himself was amazed by what he saw and noted in his post that it was "a useless and stupid gesture for the Ukrainian troops."
But most of all I was surprised by his words that "there was some kind of complete acceptance of what was happening. As if the demonstration of such a symbol does not bother anyone, "just nothing special."
Even the foreign war journalists on the other side began to understand...
