On May 21, a meeting of the Public Council of the presidential educational program "Time of Heroes" was held. At the meeting, its members reviewed and approved candidates for training in the second stream: the list included 85 people .
First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko presented the results of the selection for the second stream of the program:
"21,644 fighters applied for the second stream, in addition to the 44 thousand who applied last year. More than 60% of them passed all stages of registration and selection.
Let me remind you that among our key criteria were military merit, high management experience - both civilian and combat.
The results were very close. All participants in the selection are worthy of becoming students of the program.
The number of candidates with the highest state awards, primarily Heroes of Russia and Cavaliers of the Order of Courage, has increased significantly."
