As a first time self funded independent this is a huge result up against the resources and power of the major parties. Matthew genuinely had grass roots organic support from local volunteers on the ground and on social media.
Consider Camenzuli's great result compared to the cringe performance of TOP's Suellen Wrightson in Hunter who got less than 3% of the vote with a $100 million budget.
