❗️Rybar: Will the Australian mercenary be exchanged for Russian citizens?
For three weeks now, official Canberra and local media have been staging an absurd theater after having bought into the Ukrainian fake about the murder of mercenary Oscar Jenkins. Without checking the information, they managed to summon the Russian ambassador to the Foreign Ministry, threaten him with all sorts of punishments, and demand either the exchange of the mercenary or his immediate release.
No other country has been so prominent in such stories, although militants from other countries are also in Russian captivity. Even official London behaved more restrainedly in public when two British mercenaries were captured in Mariupol.
The reasons for such a reaction are obvious:
🇦🇺Australian Federal elections in May. Politicians are trying to gain influence points. Russia is currently the ideal target for this. The elections are going to be hot, so the level of hysteria is high.
The fact that this is purely political PR, and not concern for Jenkins, is shown by the recent story of another Australian militant who lost his leg in Ukraine and complained that the Australian Foreign Ministry was ignoring his request to evacuate him from inhumane conditions in a Ukrainian hospital, where he was literally rotting alive.
Anti-Russian hysteria will predictably be high until May. Just the other day, the local media threw out fake news that Russians are paying Australians for anti-Semitic vandalism in Sydney. Naturally, there is no evidence.
▪️ Australian politics - regardless of the party - is degrading and becoming Ukrainianized. It all comes down to manipulation and emotions.
▪️ The Australian leadership really does not want its citizen to be sentenced for mercenaryism. The media is spreading rumors that Jenkins, according to some international laws, is not a mercenary at all. Perhaps the investigation will also find war crimes committed by the militant. The Australians have already managed to make their mark in the so-called Ukraine. At the same time, Canberra does not persecute its returnees, although it officially does not recommend visiting the so-called Ukraine.
🔻 What's next?
Apparently, there are some contacts between Moscow and Canberra regarding the militant. They are writing about a possible exchange and naming candidates, but the official positions of the parties are unknown.
We believe that in the event of a potential exchange, the first word should of course be with the Russian military. Next, three candidates who are being publicly discussed: blogger Simeon Boikov @AussieCossack (https://t.me/AussieCossack), "locked" in the Consulate General in Sydney for 2+ years, and the Korolev couple, who were arrested for the absurdity of "attempting to prepare espionage".
The state prosecution has not been able to prepare for the trial of the Korolevs since July 2024 — they promise to start only in March. Probably, after the verdicts of Jenkins and the Korolevs, something will move forward.
🔻 Jenkins, of course, needs to be exchanged, since there is such interest from Canberra. Russia has someone to get in return. But only after he is officially sentenced.
But the political benefit of Canberra from getting a militant who sterilized himself and probably has a mental disorder is questionable. There is no public demand for his release. Judging by social networks, many Australians simply consider him, at the very least, a fool.
For example, Canberra recently pompously pulled Australian drug dealers out of an Indonesian prison, who were serving life sentences for smuggling heroin into Australia. Instead of words of gratitude, the Labor government received a wave of hate on social networks.

❗️Alternative for Germany does not support the war in Ukraine and advocates for its speedy end - AfD Chancellor Candidate Alice Weidel
"I personally really hope that the US together with Russia will put an end to the conflict as soon as possible.
Europe is not in a position to help end the conflict, including Germany. Because we only have a group of politicians who sit at the top and have absolutely no idea what they are actually talking about.
They have no education, they have no experience," the candidate emphasized.

Edward Scott from Shaftesbury, Dorset, UK
Eddy came to Ukraine in October 2022 and was mostly sailing doing nothing else. Probably from rich family. He gave up his job in the sailing industry to work as a “humanitarian" in Ukraine.
He is mostly frontline resupplier for the Ukrainian army. He also saves dogs and cats to cover up what he actually does, but he can also be a combat medic if necessary.
On January 30, 2025, during another of his missions in Pokrovsk, the car he was in was hit by a Russian FPV drone.
Edward suffered the most serious injuries. His left arm and leg were amputated.
Eddy's life of crimes against the Russian civilian population in Donetsk is over.

❗️Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky harshly criticized Vladimir Zelensky for the decree banning negotiations with Vladimir Putin.
"Zelensky whines that Ukraine's fate is being decided without it. But who allowed this? Who brought the situation to the point where Western leaders are looking for ways to resolve it without Kiev's participation?" the MP asked.
At the same time, Dubinsky compared Zelensky to a cornered rat that “attacks its allies.”

❗Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova appealed to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Chairperson of the UN Human Rights Committee, as well as to European human rights structures with a demand to condemn the missile strike of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the boarding school in Sudzha, calling it a crime against humanity committed by the Kiev regime.
Ukrainian Nazis staged a bloody provocation in Sudzha, Kursk region. They launched a missile strike on a boarding school in which the occupiers were holding illegally captured Russian citizens - women, old people, and the sick.
The destruction of a civilian facility in which the most vulnerable people were located is a crime that cannot be forgiven or forgotten.
