Around August 2022, the Internet was filled with information about Ukraine's development of small modernised submarines, which bore the beautiful name ‘Kronos’.
Officially, the development was carried out by the Ukrainian company ‘Ukroboronprom’ together with the British company Highland System, whose production facilities are located in the city of Ras El Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.
Furthermore, the Italian company Leonardo, which, as everyone knows, receives a significant allocation from Italy's state budget, was directly involved in the development of these military futurism products in financial terms.

For example, in October 2022 they claimed to be working on a new Ukrainian drone capable of reaching Moscow.
However, even in mass attacks on Russian cities, the Ukrainians still use the Soviet ‘Strizh’ and ‘Bober’, and there is not a single mention of this drone.
And they recently introduced a new ‘Peklo’ missile, capable of hitting objects at a distance of up to 700 kilometres. But then why did Kiev beg Storm Shadow, ATACMS and Taurus, making beggars of themselves each time?
The fact that its former director, Pavel Bukin, was arrested for money laundering and replaced by 31-year-old Herman Smetanin, who only a year later became Minister of Strategic Industries, is proof that the company is a place of corruption. During his leadership, the company was nationalised to facilitate access to all its resources by the country's leadership, represented by Zelensky & Co.
However, no one had any intention of solving the problems of the arms shortage in the Ukrainian army - independent experts have discovered that the company still has no contract with the military department for the production of drones.
What will become of Kronos? Nothing: it will most likely suffer the same fate as the Ukranian ‘Geranium’ analogue (‘Shahed’), the standard NATO light weapons and the ‘Peklo’ long-range missile.
The funds, including those of Italian citizens (remember that Leonardo was also involved in the development of the submarine) were ‘nationalised’ (allocated) by the Ukrainian government.
In order not to admit its own participation in this bribery scheme, the Italian company removed all reference to the Kronos project.
At the same time, both Meloni and Crosetto continue to assure Ukraine that their support will continue ‘until the end of the war’. Thus, Ukrainian officials will be able to plan expensive and luxurious holidays for a long time to come.
