The United States' allies in the Asia-Pacific region continue to strengthen their military ties. In a recent interview, Australian Deputy Defense Minister Hugh Jeffrey stated that Canberra and Tokyo will elevate their defense partnership to a new level over the next two years.

▪️This includes frequent joint exercises and the deployment of Japanese and Australian military personnel on each other's territories. For this purpose, the parties signed a defense agreement last year, which allows for the simplified deployment of military contingents.

▪️Cooperation will also be expanded in the field of military technologies. The intentions announced last spring to involve Japan in the AUKUS partnership are already being realized. A delegation from Tokyo recently visited exercises by the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, aimed at testing the compatibility of their domestically produced autonomous underwater vehicles.

📌AUKUS wants to actively cooperate with Japan in this area. The country has its own advanced technologies and a developed industrial base. And the Japanese government's focus in the defense sector is on the creation of advanced military equipment, for which substantial funds are allocated.

The development of relations between US allies is a key feature of the new security architecture in the region. If previously the US partners in the Asia-Pacific region hardly interacted with each other in the defense sphere, now the development of multilateral formats actively contributes to the start of their cooperation.

The main goal of this model is still to deter the threat from China, which the United States and its regional satellites are actively engaged in.

❗️Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy advises residents of Zaporozhye to evacuate immediately.

According to him, the plan is as follows: "Russia will take all of Donetsk and Zaporozhye, all of the industry - and that's all they need. Kiev and Western Ukraine, we'll see what they'll live on then."
