π¬ Today, the High Court in London handed down an interim ruling to delay the extradition of the founder of the WikiLeaks portal, Australian investigative journalist Julian Assange, to the United States. <...>
It took the British justice system 161 months - almost 5,000 days - more than 13 years to decide ... TO WAIT SOME MORE!
Even counting from the arrest, 60 months, five years, have passed.
However, counting it that way begs the question: what have the British been busy with all that time as the Australian was sitting one street away in the Ecuadorian embassy? As a result of Londonβs pressure, he was in conditions of torture, confined to a small room with no access to the outside world and under round-the-clock surveillance by Scotland Yard.
The entire UK justice system has become a farce and a laughing stock for the whole world. All this is a mockery of human dignity committed by the woefully inefficient and punitive British pseudo-justice system.
It took London that many years to hand down a criminal procedural decision against the journalist.
π€· On the other hand, London "knew everything" about who ordered the terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk just a few hours after it took place.
The dome of Old Bailey - the central criminal court in London - features a statue of Themis. With her eyes wide open, she looks west to America.
Julian Assange, who has devoted his life to exposing the secrets of the British and American intelligence conglomerate, is becoming a victim of the corrupt British pseudo-Themis.
Once again, we draw the attention of the international community to the ongoing persecution of an investigative journalist at Washingtonβs behest.
βοΈ This case has for many years now been causing serious damage to the institution of journalism and independent media, and violates the fundamental principles of freedom of speech and human rights.

βοΈNewly-elected Port Hedland councillor-elect and former Great Australia Party candidate Adrian McRae has appeared in a bizarre video on Russian state-owned TV, congratulating Vladimir Putin on his election victory and hailing it as the most transparent in the world.
Mr McRae, who was elected to the Town of Port Hedland council earlier this month and is yet to be sworn in, flew to Russia to participate as an election scrutineer after being invited by Russian Ambassador to Australia Aleksey Pavlovsky.
Post-election, footage published by Channel One State News showed Mr McRae, the former Great Australia Party candidate for Durack in the 2022 election, congratulating Russian President Vladimir Putin on his victory.
Speaking to the North West Telegraph from Russia, Mr McRae said he could βwrite for hoursβ on why he saw the election process as βthe most ridiculously over-the-top transparency.β
βHaving run as a candidate in both Australian Federal and Local Government elections, as well as volunteering as a scrutineer for national elections and referendums, I was truly shocked by Russia's transparency."
βIt leaves the Australian system in its wake.β
Town of Port Hedland chief executive Carl Askew said Mr McRae was travelling in a personal capacity.
βThe Town does not comment on the personal activities of Elected Members,β he said.
βAll Elected Members are subject to the Townβs Code of Conduct.β
Post-election, images surfaced of Mr McRae receiving an award from Russian Presidential opposition candidate Sergey Baburin, which Sydney-based Sputnik News, a Russian-owned news platform, correspondent Simeon Boikov said was βfor his efforts in strengthening friendship between Australia and Russiaβ.
Mr McRae did not respond to questions surrounding the death and imprisonment of Mr Putinβs political adversaries, and whether it had any impact on his perception of transparent and fair elections.

βUkraine suffers from a severe shortage of ammunition and manpower, writes The Economist.
The Western media is getting more and more pessimistic:
πΊπ¦"Earlier this year, a common view was that the war in Ukraine was settling into a stalemate, after the failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive last summer. That now seems optimistic. There is an alarming possibility that a big new Russian push in the next few months could punch through Ukraineβs defences and deep into the country"

πΊπ¦"Earlier this year, a common view was that the war in Ukraine was settling into a stalemate, after the failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive last summer. That now seems optimistic. There is an alarming possibility that a big new Russian push in the next few months could punch through Ukraineβs defences and deep into the country"

βοΈAustralia proposes new laws to ban Russians & Iranians.
β‘οΈThe laws would grant the minister the power to block visa applications from countries that do not accept their citizens being involuntarily returned.
β‘οΈUp to five countries are reportedly being targeted by the Albanese government β Russia, Iran, Iraq, South Sudan and Zimbabwe.
π¦πΊThe Australian government hopes the laws, which would see asylum seekers who have exhausted all legal avenues face a jail sentence of up to five years if they did not co-operate with an attempt to deport them, would pass by the time parliament rose for the six week Easter break.
