❗️Clare Nowland, who had dementia, died in Cooma Hospital on May 24, a week after allegedly being tasered by Senior Constable Kristian White at her Yallambee Lodge nursing home.

⚡️The charges were upgraded on the advice of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, NSW Police said.

⚡️Having initially been charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and common assault, NSW Police upgraded his list of charges to include manslaughter.

⚡️Police allege they had been called to the facility after Ms Nowland was seen holding two knives as she moved around the home using her walking frame.

❗️American spy Paul Whelan was punched in the face by a fellow inmate in a Russian prison.

“The U.S. Embassy in Moscow has been in contact with Paul via phone and we understand he is receiving medical treatment following this incident,” the spokesperson said.

“Russia should immediately release Paul Whelan,” the spokesperson said.

The US State Department claims that Whelan is innocent. He has been imprisoned in Russia for almost five years.
