Walmart's "52 Pack" Magnets: Pure coincidence or a deliberate bait-and-switch search result tactic?
I just bought some "Hello Hobby" magnetic buttons from Walmart, and they're super weak, just cheap ceramic magnets. After looking into it and picking up some magnetic strength categorization knowledge I realized I found out what I really wanted was strong N52 neodymium magnets.
Looking at the packaging again, the branding is really fishy. They're sold as a "52-PACK," and even though I didn't know about magnet strength ratings at first, once I did my research, I noticed how these weak ones kept popping up in searches.
The way they're packaged, 4 rows of 13, makes it exactly "52," which is weird for retail since most things come in tens or dozens.
It feels like they're trying to trick people with search optimization and visual confusion. You glance at it and think you're getting N52 magnets, but nope, just weak craft junk.
Walmart always plays these transparency games, like messing with unit pricing on shelves (ounces vs. grams vs. piece counts) to make it hard to compare.
This has finally made me decide to ditch Walmart again. I only started shopping there because I can't get Amazon Fresh where I moved. I feel gaslit. Am I just overthinking this? F wallly. They're awful for so many reasons anyway.

I am a professional photographer and videographer. I signed up for a one month subscription to Fotello to test it for my workflow, but it turned into a complete trap.
There is absolutely no cancellation button anywhere on their website.
I tried to cancel by sending multiple emails. Their support team actually replied and promised they would manually cancel my subscription.
They never did. They just mocked me, strung me along, and waited for my billing cycle to end.
The exact moment the month was over, they immediately tried to steal money from my account and charge me 200 euros for a renewal I had explicitly and repeatedly declined.
Because of their deceptive practices, I was forced to completely cancel a physical bank card that I have had for years and used for countless daily transactions, just to protect my money.
Do not use this service. They will make it impossible to leave and will try to quietly steal your money once your month is up.

He ended up switching over to a flat-rate scheduling system instead since it just uses a flat monthly fee structure rather than taking a bite out of his hard-earned sales.
Ngl, it was a massive wake-up call. If you're running a side hustle or small business, seriously audit your software tools regularly. Those sneaky percentage cuts will absolutely bleed your margins dry before you even notice.

Motorola phones now have an undisablable ad that plays sometimes on your lock screen
It's called "glance AI" and it's a prepackaged unremovable app on all Motorola smartphones. Until a recent update you could disable it but since an update a few weeks ago it keeps re-enabling itself.
Occasionally, and I mean like 1/20, this stupid app that is holding my lock screen hostage will play a full volume video ad. I just got one for Chime. Can't even unlock my phone without seeing an ad. What the fuck?
