crazydomains add to your cart and you gotta click click click to disable one of many auto addons
I don't want to add screen shots because i'd have to black out all of it anyway so...
\- click a domain to renew and it adds it to the shopping cart
\+ adds domain protection which keeps your domain if you forget to pay however that's kind of impossible when the message you every 2 weeks from 3 months before renewal is due. you click remove from order and a modal popup tries to tell you how important this is to have. click cancel. does this for any domain you add to your cart automatically. so renew several domains and have to disable domain protection for each domain individually.
\+ adds another 'free' domain to your cart.. `yoursite.online` okay great, except these are some of the most expensive domains and after a year when you have to renew it's at least twice the cost of most of my other domains.
\+ tries to get you to add privacy guard which removes your personal details from the registry so people can't see your phone number, name, .... HOWEVER if it's a `.au` then privacy guard is a waste of money because the Australian government requires that `.au` domains are linked to a business and the business details must be listed along with the domain. so the first time i got privacy guard (i didn't want my phone number out there) but when i set up my .net.au and .au domains i realized i wasted money on the others because there it is.. on public display.. thanks. i get so many marketing calls every day since registering..
\- they used to try and sell you SSL certificates too even when with very minimal scripting skills it was easy to setup free SSL with Let's Encrypt through their cPanel API.
has anyone else noticed this?
crazydomains has a lot of micro services and they try to get you to sign up for as many as they can every step of the way.
the auto opt in really annoys me.. especially when it adds 2-3 services per domain and you have to disable each one individually with a confirmation screen.. even if you had to uncheck the option would be better but come on.. a modal "oh are you sure you don't want this service? this is really important to have!" what's the word for panic splash screen impulse buy scam view? haha
i hope this is relevant/helpful. might be hard to read as i'm a little frustrated and dyslexic

Bought this for the Green Product label. The fine print says they literally made it up.

The manufacturer Satya BNG uses an ISO 14021 Type II standard, which by definition means the company wrote its own environmental claims to get the logo. To top it off, the fine print explicitly states the auditing firm takes zero liability for verifying the data, and the entire certificate officially expired in May 2025. Pure corporate greenwashing to manufacture consumer trust.

YouTube TV needs to verify your location to get any local programming (which includes FIFA matches for some reason). They only tell you about this requirement after you've paid for a subscription.
