Business Bot Scam
In this post, we'll take a look at a new type of scam that uses the "business chatbot" feature, which comes with a Telegram Premium subscription.
Let's get to the point. Imagine this situation: a stranger messages you offering to give you 200 stars for free. Naturally, we don't turn down free stuff, so we agree. We're asked to add a certain bot in Telegram settings and then delete it almost immediately. It seems harmless enough, but it isn't. By adding the fraudulent bot to the "Business Bots" section, you're exposing the gifts and stars in your profile to scammers, since a malicious script is embedded inside that chatbot, automatically stealing all your valuables.
There are quite a few ways this scheme gets implemented, and it can spread disguised as: a guarantor bot, a bot for viewing deleted messages (anti-revoke), an AI/neural network bot, a bot for earning stars through referral invites — and I'm sure many more "wrappers" for this scheme will appear soon.
Never add suspicious bots to "Chatbots" on your personal account if you store valuable gifts, etc. there.
