This is an Arabic kids book about a family going on a fun picnic wearing their best clothes. The park they are sitting in is Ghouta (Syria). It doesn’t exist anymore.

The great scholar Ibn 'Āshūr (1393 H) said we can learn 3 lessons from the famous verse in the passage about #Ramadan: "If My slaves ask you about Me, I am near. I answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me. They should therefore respond to Me and believe in Me so that hopefully they will be rightly guided."

1. The fasting person should be more hopeful of his duas being accepted

2. He should increase in his supplications in Ramadan

3. He should make dua at the end of each day in Ramadan

Brothers and sisters, my advice is to take a few minutes now and write down all the things you want to make dua for and then take out that piece of paper before every Iftar to help make your duas more meaningul and prolonged. - Please share
Ramadan is a month of the Qur'ān. It was revealed in this month and Jibril would visit the Prophet sss every Ramdan to revise it with him. In this short clip Ustadh Asim explains how to approach the Qur'an with the right attitude, the type which helps unlock its guidance and secrets. Too often people approach the Qur'an as cirtics and then complain it doesn't make sense. This is because they're reading it with the wrong frame of mind... please share this clip to encourage the Ummah to benefit more from the Book of Allah this Ramadan.

P.S. Ustadh Asim is currently teaching Tafsir Surah al-Hadid at Redbridge Masjid 7pm. Open to sisters and brothers.
🌕 The moon has not been cited in Saudi Arabia, therefore Ramadan 1439H officially commences on
Wednesday 16th May 2018.

🔹Taraweeh Prayers start Wednesday night
🔸Fasting starts on Thursday 17th May

We ask Allah to enable us to benefit from this blessed month, that He accepts all our duas and prayers.
Amazing recitation from three young Egyptians in a tunnel. Can’t decide who’s the most outstanding. May Allāh make us from the People of the Quran
In surah al-Ḥadīd Allah says in verse 5

وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرجَعُ الأُمورُ
"And to Allāh are returned [all] matters"

- The scholars say this means Allāh will judge people for what they *said* and *did*. See Ibn Āshūr.

In the very next verse Allāh says
وَهُوَ عَليمٌ بِذاتِ الصُّدورِ
"He is knower of all that is in the breasts"

- The scholars say this refers to the thoughts and intentions of people. See Ibn Āshūr.

Notice how both matters are needed to come together for perfect justice to occur. A judge must know both the crime and the motives behind it. People can investigate what took place but can they ever be sure about the intentions in the mind, and the secrets of the heart? So who can know both deeds and intentions, and know them all of the time, for all of humanity? None, except Allah, the All-Mighty. [See clip for more explanation]

Next lesson: Saturday 7pm Redbridge Masjid A12
Tafsīr Surah al-Hadid EP02

- Explanation of the verse “better than a 1000 verses”

- Tafsīr of first 3 verses:

1. How the universe glorifies Allah
2. Allah’s Power and Control over Creation
3. Four unique Names of Allah not mentioned anywhere in the Qur'ān

Consider this: you are not the only soul in the Kingdom of Allāh yet Allāh cares for you as if you are the only soul in His Kingdom. You have no God except Allāh in this life and yet you treat Him like you have other gods who take care of you...
