BYD, which stands for Build Your Dreams, is a Chinese company headquartered in Shenzhen. It entered the Singapore market in 2014. Singapore-flagged vessel sinks off Scarborough Shoal in South China Sea, at least 2 dead

Singapore-flagged vessel Devon Bay capsized about 100km northwest of the shoal disputed by China and the Philippines. The cargo ship was enroute to China.
