The Biggs for Arizona campaign is hosting a campaign rally on Friday, July 31st in Goodyear to fire up West Valley voters as the general election campaign begins. Congressman Andy Biggs and special speakers from across Arizona will be making remarks in support of uniting Republicans, Independents, and frustrated Democrats behind his campaign.

Andy Biggs for Governor
Sine Kerr for Lt. Governor

Sine Kerr (pronounced: SEEN-uh) has been married to her high school sweetheart, Bill, for 46 years. Together, they have four children and twelve grandchildren, all of whom reside in the West Valley.

From 2018-2025, Kerr served as the Arizona State Senator for Legislative Districts 13 and 25 (post-redistricting). Her districts included most of the West Valley and stretched all the way out to Yuma County, representing large agricultural areas and three major military installations.

Kerr was elected by her Republican colleagues to serve as Senate Majority Whip and also served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources, Energy, and Water.

In 2021, Kerr was the author of SB1442, the legislative vehicle for Governor Doug Ducey’s Arizona Healthy Forest Initiative.

Kerr worked across the aisle in the Arizona Legislature to get a number of bills signed into law, including ‘Kayleigh’s Law’ in 2021 and the landmark ‘water protection’ bill in 2022.

In 2022 the office of Lieutenant Governor was established by voter approval of Proposition 131. The 2026 Midterm is the first election utilizing the system created by Prop 131. Prior to this change, in the event a Governor was unable to complete his/her term in office, the Arizona Secretary of State was first in line to succeed the Governor, which sometimes resulted in a Party shift.

Prop 131 estabilished that Political parties vote for their Gubernatorial nominee during the Primary Election. The Primary Election is held only for the Gubernatorial Nominees, Lieutenant Governor candidates do not run in the Primary.

Once a candidate wins their Party's Primary, they select a running mate to appear alongside them on the General Election ballot. This choice must be finalized at least 60 days before the General Election.

The Governor and Lt Governor appear as a single Joint Ticket on the November General Election ballot. Voters cast a single vote for the Ticket.

An Arizona judge ruled Wednesday that a Republican-referred attempt to block an Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) reform initiative is ineligible for the November ballot because it covers more than one subject in a single proposition.

A spokesperson for the Arizona Senate Republican caucus said an appeal is in the works.

Applicants for the new round can seek funding in three categories: waste reduction assistance (this could really mean anything, way to vague), educational outreach (telling people how to put their recycling in their blue can, ridiculous!), and recycling research and development (yeah just another way to backdoor fund ASU).
