To codify in statute that a: HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE ORGANIZATION MAY RECEIVE, USE AND REDISCLOSE THE CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION RECEIVED PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION FOR ANY PURPOSE ALLOWED BY THE HEALTH INSURANCE PORTABILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT PRIVACY STANDARDS is beneficial to an individual how? For what purpose? The benefit is to the NONPROFIT HEALTH INFORMATION ORGANIZATION – again to what aim?
There ought to be limits as to what personal & confidential information is freely collected and distributed.
Furthermore, it lacks transparency to the individual who will automatically be opting in without knowing that their confidential information is being ‘used and redisclosed.’
These bills are ‘entryway’ bills that layout the permissions for ongoing intrusions into an individuals’ privacy and conceals from them the ability to choose to participate.

• HIE (Health Information Exchange) is the health surveillance system that collects and analyzes data of which people are not able to get back even if they opted into the program.
• With COVID response as an example, the Governor has issued EOs requiring health care systems to report enhanced surveillance advisory measures to collaborate with the current HIE (Health Current), CDC, US HHS, and Association of Public Health Labs to impose public health mandates on its citizens.
• These public health mandates have not made citizens better off and if anything, cause more mental health strain/damage than before.

Voter Roll Victory: Louisiana Withdraws From Soros-Funded ERIC System

Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin has announced that Louisiana will suspend its participation in the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), effective immediately. The announcement comes amid concerns raised by citizens, government watchdog organizations and media reports about potential questionable funding sources and that possibly partisan actors may have access to ERIC network data for political purposes, potentially undermining voter confidence.

“When Louisiana joined ERIC under my predecessor, we did so under the impression that it would enhance the accuracy of our voter rolls and strengthen Louisiana’s election integrity. After reading about these allegations and speaking with election attorneys and experts, I have determined that it may no longer be in Louisiana’s best interests to participate in this organization,” Secretary Ardoin said. “It is vital that any legitimate allegation of voter fraud or possible misuse of our voters’ personal information is investigated. My job is to ensure that the data voters entrust to my office is protected. I look forward to ERIC’s swift response to these allegations.”

ERIC was founded in 2012 by seven states, including Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, Utah, Virginia, Washington and the Pew Charitable Trusts. It has since grown to include 30 states and the District of Columbia. Louisiana joined the organization in 2014.
