STATE SENATOR KELLY TOWNSEND RUNNING FOR CONGRESS
 
January 17th, 2022 – Responding to the calls to take on the challenge of winning Arizona’s 6th Congressional District and moving Nancy Pelosi one step closer to retirement, State Senator Kelly Townsend has filed paperwork to run for Congress.
 
The conservative State Senator is unique among the Republican field as she is the only candidate with a voting record that demonstrates the ideology and backbone needed to stand up to the establishment in Washington D.C. and put the people of Arizona first.
 
Townsend has a 100% pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, and pro-taxpayer record, and she has a long record of fighting for secure borders, an end to illegal immigration, expansion of school choice, and of course her well-publicized efforts to secure Arizona’s elections so that every legal vote is counted swiftly and accurately.
 
“I am joining a field of good people in response to the hundreds of people who have reached out to be before and since the new maps were approved.  While they had various issues that were important to them, what they all had in common was a desire for a proven fighter who had a record of winning.” said Townsend.  “I look forward to earning the votes of the citizens of the 6th district over the months ahead.”
 
Because Townsend is one of the state’s leaders in the fight for election integrity, reining in Executive power, and protecting Arizonans’ medical freedoms, she plans on keeping her State Senate seat while she campaigns.  “I was recently asked to serve as Chairman of the Senate Government Committee where we will be moving critical legislation, and I owe it to the people I serve to fulfill my commitments to them.”

ABOUT KELLY TOWNSEND
 
Rep. Kelly Townsend has proudly served in Arizona’s Legislature since 2013.  A mother, veteran, small business owner, and certified Doula and Doula Trainer, Kelly's roots in Arizona run deep, going all the way back to the heyday of Tombstone, where her Great Great Grandfather George Buford was a successful silver miner.
Kelly grew up in Oregon and then volunteered for the U.S. Navy, where she served as an Aviation Structural Mechanic on F-14s and F/A-18 aircraft. After her Navy service, Kelly launched a career in Corporate Management, then shifted to health care as a Birth Doula, guiding expectant mothers through the adventure of birth and post-partum adjustment, while establishing her own small business.
In 2004 Kelly returned her family to Arizona to raise her children and finish her degree. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Communications, and her Master's Degree in Infant & Family Practice at Arizona State University.
Kelly is an accomplished author with books published in the USA, Croatia, and Slovenia. She is well traveled internationally, with a deep interest in other cultures and customs, languages, and of course, International and State government. She is a fierce defender of the Constitution and is a national leader in the Article V movement.

Ok I have a bomb shell. We knew it was about money, but now this is the proof. I just found a letter from the Dept of Education to our esteemed (puke) governor. The government is saying that if the schools do not follow CDC Guidelines, they will not get the ESSRIII money. I have attached the letter. This is NOT about protecting your children, this is about money. The school district does NOT care what is best for your children or if they are stomping on Parental rights. AZ GOP Sec of State Candidate Introduces Election Integrity Bills That Should Be Nationwide Standard | Western Journal

Arizona Secretary of State candidate Mark Finchem has co-sponsored multiple bills that should be standard nationwide to give voters confidence in the election results.

One calls for ballot images to become a public record immediately after the election, searchable by precinct.
Others would require bank note quality, watermarked paper ballots and hand-counting of them.

“Can’t rely on electronic tabulation as the primary means of counting votes,” Finchem said. “We’ve taken the people out of the process and replaced them with electronics, which means we no longer have transparency.”

“Elections belong to the people; they don’t belong to the government,” he said.

These are just the kinds of reforms needed nationwide.

Take our elections back offline and allow as many eyes as possible to review the results.

DEFUND ASBA - VOTE YES ON SB1011

At every turn, the Arizona School Board Association has stood against parents and their kids. They even tried to cancel tens of thousands of jobs when they sued to kill a law that would protect parents from losing their jobs over their medical decisions. ASBA has stood by school board members that created dossiers against families and they were silent against the sexual misconduct by teachers and staff at several Arizona government schools.

ASBA receives their funding from tax dollars. In all other industries, the members pay the membership fees.

It's time to defund ASBA so they can no longer use the tax dollars against parents. Tell your legislators to VOTE YES on Sen. Townsend's SB1011 which prohibits tax dollars from going to ASBA.

I agree with Wendy Rogers bigly in saying that any state (Hawaii) restricting travel of American citizens over “your papers please” should be stripped of its congressional delegation and electoral votes.

Steve Bannon Is on to Something and the NYT Is Worried: ‘Local Races Are the Ventilation Shaft in the Republican Death Star’

In a recent cringe-filled left-stream article, the NYT focuses on the power of local elections and warns Dems that they need a Plan B as Republicans use the “local action = national impact” strategy to take back the country. Deep Dem Ezra Klein writes:

“This week, I half-jokingly asked Ben Wikler, the chairman of the Wisconsin Democratic Party, what it felt like to be on the front lines of protecting American democracy. He replied, dead serious, by telling me what it was like. He spends his days obsessing over mayoral races in 20,000-person towns, because those mayors appoint the city clerks who decide whether to pull the drop boxes for mail-in ballots and [it’s] small changes to electoral administration that could be the difference between winning Senator Ron Johnson’s seat in 2022… and losing the race and the Senate. Wikler is organizing volunteers to staff phone banks to recruit people who believe in democracy to serve as municipal poll workers, because Steve Bannon has made it his mission to recruit people who don’t believe in democracy to serve as municipal poll workers.

I’ll say this for the right: They pay attention to where the power lies in the American system, in ways the left sometimes doesn’t. Bannon calls this ‘the precinct strategy,’ and it’s working. ‘Suddenly, people who had never before showed interest in party politics started calling the local G.O.P. headquarters or crowding into county conventions, eager to enlist as precinct officers,’ ProPublica reports. ‘They showed up in states Trump won and in states he lost, in deep-red rural areas, in swing-voting suburbs and in populous cities.’

‘If you want to fight for the future of American democracy, you shouldn’t spend all day talking about the future of American democracy,’ Wikler said. ‘These local races that determine the mechanics of American democracy are the ventilation shaft in the Republican death star. These races get zero national attention. They hardly get local attention. Turnout is often lower than 20 percent. That means people who actually engage have a superpower.’”
