✳️Queen’s Vice-Principal Research Postdoctoral Fund
📍The Vice-Principal Research (VPR) Postdoctoral Fund aims to attract outstanding postdoctoral fellows (PDFs) to Queen’s University and foster greater recognition of trainees as research leaders of the future. Support for PDFs and their contribution to research is an objective of the University’s Strategic Framework and advances research excellence at the University.

📍The fund provides two years of salary support for up to six (6) PDFs, per competition, who will hold a postdoctoral fellowship at Queen’s University. Each award is valued at $50,000 each year of the funding period for a total of $100,000 per recipient. Supervisors are encouraged to top up this amount to reflect market conditions.
📍The PhD must be complete at the start of the Postdoctoral Fellowship.

دوتا متن ایمیلی که میبینید از اساتید دانشگاه ملبورن و تورنتو هستن که به من کمک کردن پروپوزالم رو بنویسم.

❇ قبل از خوندن این موارد، اگر احیانا استادی از شما پروپوزال خواست این موارد رو رعایت کنید:

1- اگر استاد به شما موضوعی پیشنهاد نداده، هیچوقت ازاساتید نپرسید که چه موضوعی رو پیشنهاد میکنن ( شما به عنوان یک دانشجوی تحصیلات تکمیلی باید به موضوع ریسرچ استاد و کاری که خودتون علاقمند هستید مسلط باشید و بتونید پیشنهادهای خودتون رو داشته باشید)

2- توییتر اساتید رو دنبال کنید، با اینکار یک فرصت طلایی دارین که متوجه بشید اون استاد درگیر چه پروژه ای هست. با این روش میتونید موضوع پروپوزال رو دقیق تر انتخاب کنید.

🛑متن ایمیل یکی از اساتید دانشگاه ملبورن در مورد نوشتن #پروپوزال:

Your thesis proposal should include the following:

1⃣Clear research question (what do you want to investigate)

2⃣Methodology (how are you going to carry on your investigation; what methods will you use, etc)

3⃣Describe the reason why do you want to investigate this particular topic, and what do you think will be your contribution to the knowledge)
It is always good to include literature review, in order to demonstrate that you are already familiar with at least some of the material that has been written on the subject, and you have identified the gap, which you want to address)


🛑متن ایمیل یکی ازاساتید دانشگاه تورنتو در این مورد:

🔴a.Introduction containing motivation and importance of your work leading to the brief description of your research topic. (1/3 page)

🔴b. Setting up the research area within a current debate in the literature and policy/practice world. And make sure to make a few citations to both foundational work and recent papers that support your arguments. The reviewers should come away with an impression that you are READY to do this (ie you have read, and have research skills), and they should have an idea about what your theoretical perspectives will be. (1/2 page)

🔴c. A detailed description of your research project: data, study area, models, how will the models answer your questions, etc (3/4 page)

🔴d. Some statements regarding your expertise and how that fits with the support you’ll get from me as a member of my lab and at UofT more generally. This is where you should point out the most excellent aspects of your CV and track record drawing attention to your publications in top international journals, the questions and data you worked on, the advanced methods that show that you are prepared to undertake doctoral work, etc. (1/3 page)

🔺چقدر باید تمرین کنم؟

✳️ خیلی، کاملا به رزومه خودتون و فیلد و مقالات استاد باید مسلط باشید.

از سی وی شما کنفرانس ها، مقالات، تز و پروژه، نرم افزارها و تقریبا همه موارد پژوهشی قطعا مورد سوال خواهند بود. بدونین که استاد کاملا رزومه شما رو مطالعه کرده و می‌تونه از هر بخشیش سوال بپرسه.

🔺اگه جایی نفهمیدم استاد چی گفت چکار کنم؟

✳️طبیعیه کاملا، ازشون بخواید دوباره تکرار کنن سوال رو

🔺چی باید آماده کنم و منتظر چه سوالاتی باشم؟

✳️سوالات این فایل پی دی اف تقریبا کامل هستن. غیر ازاون قبلش از استاد بپرسید آیا لازم هست چیز دیگه ای اماده باشه یا خیر.
بعضی وقتا بد نیست یک پاورپوینت از کارها و مقالاتتون داشته باشید. ولی اجباری هم نیست.

🔺اگر استاد چیزی پرسید بلد نبودم چی؟

✳️قرار نیست ما همه چیز رو بلد باشیم(غیر از مسائل اساسی). بگید کاملا مشتاق هستم که برم این تاپیک رو یاد بگیرم. ( کلا خودتون رو با انگیزه نشون بدید)

🔺الان در مورد فاند بپرسم؟

✳️اینجا نمیشه قطعی نظری داد، ببینین چطور پیش میره، اگر کلا مثبت بود میتونین اخر مصاحبه که ازتون میپرسن سوالی دارید یا نه مطرح کنید. خیلی وقتا هم خودشون بهتون میگن.

🔺نتیجه رو از کجا بفهمم؟ همون موقع بپرسم؟

✳️این هم نظرات متفاوتی داره، اگر استاد خودش چیزی نگفت، صبور باشید و اجازه بدید بگذره و دو سه روز بعد ایمیل بزنین و بپرسید آیا باید اپلای کنید یا نه.

🔺ایمیل تشکر لازمه؟

✳️صددرصد بله. این یکی از اصول حرفه ای مصاحبه هست و حتما باید بعد از اسکایپ ایمیل بزنین و تشکر کنید.

🔺مهمه چی بپوشیم؟
✳️بله، لباس رسمی .

🔺آخرش که استاد ازمن می‌پرسه سوالی داری یا نه حتما باید سوال داشته باشم؟

✳️صد درصد، حتما بپرسید، اینجا میتونین کاملا وارد بحث بشین و از مقالاتشون بپرسید و شانس خودتون رو بالا ببرید.
