How To Turn Off The Blue Light On Your iPhone
To turn off blue light on your iPhone, enable Apple’s built-in Night Shift feature, which shifts the screen's colors to warmer amber tones.
To turn on Night Shift:
1. Open the Control Center (swipe down from the top-right corner, or up on older iPhones with a home button).
2. Press and hold the Brightness slider.
3. Tap the Night Shift icon (the sun/moon symbol) to turn it on or off.
For more scheduling options, you can go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Night Shift. Here, you can set it to turn on automatically from sunset to sunrise, create a custom schedule, or adjust the warmth of the color.
For a stronger block—like a total red-light filter for nighttime eye strain—you can use Accessibility Color Filters. To set this up:
1. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size.
2. Tap Color Filters and toggle it on.
3. Select Color Tint, push the Intensity to the max, and slide the Hue to the far left (red).
