Honouring the works of Marcel Bokhorst (M66B)
Those looking for making their Android phone more private have definitely used applications such as FairEmail, NetGuard or XPrivacyLua. Among them, FairEmail was one of the most frequently updated applications I have ever seen. It clearly demonstrated Marcel's dedication towards the app and its community. NetGuard was the first app that I have ever used when I was first introduced to privacy a couple of years ago, and as stated in the Telegram group (when it existed) and indicated in one of the issues, was one of the inspirations for me. However, I came to learn today that the entire batch of applications have been discontinued due to the malicious treatment by Google (which is increasingly becoming a SkyNet for its increasing reliance on artificial intelligence and a team of reviewers both of which lacks any intelligence) and, consequently, some people of the community who have started complaining as they failed to understand the underlying issues.
As a great admirer of @M66B's works, I appreciate the efforts he has made (which were greatly undervalued) and the services that he provided to the open source and privacy community in general, and I wish the wellbeing of him and his family.

Important.
App Manager v2.5.x and earlier versions did not received any security updates for more than a year and should not be used.
For root and ADB users, this is very crucial because today crackers like to exploit any vulnerabilities they can find, even if it is an app with a small number of users such as App Manager. App Manager has a very specific set of users which might entice them to find and exploit vulnerabilities in the app.
App Manager v2.6.5 and later are still supported and patches will be released if critical vulnerabilities have been discovered. Since the release of v3.0.0 has been announced, no new features will be added to the v2.6.x version lineup.

It has also come to my attention that some app stores are distributing completely fake or modified versions of App Manager, some of which reportedly containing adware or even trojan. Please abstain from installing App Manager from these sources and use only the official sources.
