MORNING GLORY πŸ’₯

Corinthians 1:18
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

When it comes to Christianity, we need to understand that: It isn't the church, It isn't our good lives, It isn't even the Bible that draws people to Jesus. These things point the way but they in themselves do not have drawing power. What draws people to Christ is His cross:

The church proclaims it, Our good lives confirm it, the Bible records it In the end, people come to God because of the cross of Jesus. It is the magnetic force within Christianity that has the power to pull people toward God.

THE POWER OF THE CROSS OF JESUS!

1. The Cross has the Power
to Set Men Free
Whether they admit it or not, people carry in their hearts an incredible load of anxiety and fear because of guilt. This is normal because all men are guilty of sin, and this fact has been well documented in the Bible. The universality of sin is a core Bible doctrine.(Romans 3:9-12)

2. The Cross has the Power to Create in Me a Desire for Righteousness;
The cross has the power to create in a person the love and desire for what is good, right, true, and pure. Even though a person cannot achieve perfection on this earth, the cross of Christ gives him a thirst for it. No law can produce this in one's heart.

The cross draws men because it has the power to convince them that no one has ever loved them in this way before or ever again. Even if our personal history is filled with people and events that have told us that we're not worthy of love, the cross of Christ stands as an eternal witness that no matter what: God loves us. So long as we keep our focus on the cross we'll never doubt that we are ok with Him.

3:The cross has the power has the power to convince us that we are loved.

May we always cling to that old rugged Cross!

PRAYER πŸ™
πŸ“Œ Thank you LORD for today, I can appreciate enough for Life!
πŸ“ŒLord reveal your cross and it's power to me!

MORNING GLORY πŸ’₯

Joshua 24:15
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.

THE POWER OF CHOICE!!

Aren't we constantly faced with multiple choices in life? From the moment we wake up in the morning, we are bombarded with a plethora of choices and decisions to make. Some are imposed by society, some by the technology around us, or some imposed by a situation in our lives.

When we are free to make our choices, out of free will is when we have some say in what our future beholds. Your past doesn't define your future. Who you are today is a culmination of all the choices or decisions you made and, most importantly, the ones you failed to make.

So, the choices and decisions you make yesterday define your present.

Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made. If you want a different result , make a different choice.

Choices are powerful because they can rewrite your destiny. One right choice could change your future. Through the choices you make, you can unleash your incredible human potential. Your choices today determine your tomorrow.

🩸SALVATION IS CHOICE!
🩸RIGHTOUSNESS IS A CHOICE!
🩸WORKING IN GODS ORDINATION FOR YOUR LIFE IS A CHOICE
🩸 OBEDIENCE AND DISOBEDIENCE IS A CHOICE.

Every choice we make comes with a repercussion or a blessing!!

PRAYER πŸ™
πŸ“Œ Thank you Lord for the gift of Life
πŸ“Œ Father help me to make the right Choices in Life in Jesus name.

May God reach you at the point of your need in Jesus name πŸ™

DIVINE RESTORATION (2Samuel 9:2-7)

What happen to Mephibosheth can also be found in many Christians life today. Saul and Jonathan died in one day leaving their son who can not walk. He was taken by their maid into exile, it is a sad story to hear that a son of a former king has to experience such a bitter fate.

Mephibosheth has lost is honour as a son of a former king. Saul was like a formal president of our day who has ruled for many years and under normal circumstance, his kindred where suppose to enjoy the benefit of a formal president.

Many may ask this question "has God not rejected him as King? Yes God has rejected him as a king but He did to reject his family for what rightfully belongs to them. Saul has paid for his disobedient to God through death.

The devil is taking advantage of that circumstances to torment Saul’s family, and young mephibosth is suffering the consequences of his grandfather's actions.

Many of us have lost our position because of our disobedience or the disobedience of our progenitors, we need to cry out for divine Restoration, he says I will restore to you the years.....(Joel 2:25) God has promised us restoration.

PRAYER πŸ™
πŸ“Œ Thank you Abba for the gift of Life.
πŸ“ŒRestore to me everything the enemy have stolen from my life in Jesus name.

Proverbs 11:2 β€œWhen pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”

THIS CANCER CALLED "PRIDE"

Pride is a grievous sin. It can sometimes be visible and yet inconspicuous. Because it is so deceptive, we are often oblivious to our pride. Awareness of pride is essential since it hinders our relationship with God.

There are 6 forms of pride taught in Scripture that we must recognize but I will discuss just 3 for the sake of this devotion. Because we expect pride when we succeed, the first three forms are more obvious. Since we don’t expect pride when we fail, the second three forms are less conspicuous.

1. Self-exaltation: Pride gives credit to himself.
When a person succeeds and gives himself credit, he is prideful. This is the preacher who says to himself, β€œI am the greatest.” This is the student who proclaims, β€œI am the smartest.” This is the politician who brags, β€œI am the sole reason for our success.”

God reminds us that every good thing comes from him.(James 1:16-17)

2. Self-promotion: Pride welcomes credit from others.
Instead of exulting himself, some let others exalt him. But accepting credit from others is another form of pride. When we put forth our virtue and success so that others complement us, we are being prideful. Jesus chided those who paraded their righteous behavior to promote attention. (Matt 6:1-2)

3. Self-justification: Pride expects credit from God Himself.
We should avoid seeking God’s admiration. Expecting credit from God is another form of pride.
There is nothing honorable or virtuous within ourselves. We are utterly sinful, it is by his Grace we are saved. We did nothing for our salvation. (Matthew 5:3)

We must trust God to be humble at heart of we must have a good relationship with God.

PRAYER πŸ™
πŸ“Œ Thank you Abba for a day like this, I slept and woke up, it's by your grace.
πŸ“ŒLORD grant me a heart of humility in Jesus name.
πŸ“ŒHelp me not to focus on my achievements or my failures LORD in Jesus name

MORNING GLORY πŸ’₯

Philippians 4:6-7
β€œDo not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

To be anxious for nothing means to not be weighed down by the cares of this world. It’s a command from God to not allow anything to steal our peace or joy.

This doesn’t mean that we will never experience negative emotions or that life will be perfect. It means that we can trust God with whatever comes our way and find strength in Him during difficult times.

In essence, being "anxious for nothing" is an invitation to cultivate a mindset of trust, prayer, and gratitude in your relationship with God.

It acknowledges that, while life may bring challenges and concerns, there is an enduring source of peace and support in your faith.

It doesn't mean avoiding all concerns or ignoring legitimate issues, but rather, it encourages a mindset of turning to prayer and seeking God's guidance and comfort when worries arise.

When Paul and Silaz where arrested and casted into prison for preaching Christ, they were not worried neither did they complain to God. But they prayed and sang songs of Thanksgiving to the Lord and their deliverance came.

I know you might be going through a season of turbulence now, remember to take everything to God in prayer through Thanksgiving πŸ™

Let Us Pray πŸ—£οΈ

πŸ“Œ Our Father in heaven Hallow be thy name.
πŸ“Œ Thank you for everything you have done for me all this years.
πŸ“ŒI know I might not be in my best seasons now, but I know all things work together for my good.
πŸ“Œ Thank you for the Testimonies I'm expecting.

Have a blessed week ahead

MORNING GLORY πŸ’₯

Jer.17.7 - Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Jer.17.8 - For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

TRUSTING IN THE LORD!

At the start of his ministry, Jeremiah had been warned that the people would not listen to his message, and the guilt of the nation stands in stark contrast with the innocence of this solitary prophet of God. So the man of God began to lament

Trusting the Lord is simply believing that the one and only Way God has provided for fallen man to be saved, is through the sacrificial death and glorious resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is having faith in the unchangeable Truth that God has opened up for us in the Scriptures, and has revealed to us through His only begotten Son. It is accepting, as an unchangeable fact, that the Life which God imparted to us through the Lord Jesus Christ, will save to the uttermost.

It pleases the very heart of God when His children depend on Him utterly, believe in His Word, and trust in His Son for Salvation, for without having faith in Who He is and what He had said, it is impossible to please Him.

Without faith we are ships without a rudder that are tossed and adrift on the merciless sea of life, for the one who draws near to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Trusting in God and hoping in the Lord is simply believing the reality of all that He has disclosed to us in His Word. It is accepting as fact all that God has revealed to us in the Bible. It is trusting all that has been revealed in Scripture about our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

PRAYER πŸ™
πŸ“Œ Thank you Father for blessing me with a new day
πŸ“Œ LORD help me to put my trust in you and you alone. Amen

Have a blessed week ahead πŸ™
