Edward William Carubis pleaded guilty today. He admitted to assaulting 3 federal officers during the July 11th 2020 #Portland #antifa riot.

@USAO_OR sentencing recommendation is time served (2 days according to the docket), no probation, and a 25$ fee.

Carubis was in black bloc at the riot, even covering the logo on his hat with tape.

He also had a large shield with 'ACAB' on it and a laser.

Violent Antifa member Alexander Contompasis (present at Unite the right and Disrupt J20) convicted for a stabbing during a protest at the New York State capitol in 2021

Contompasis is connected with a number of high profile antifa such as Daryle Lamont Jenkins and used the "I'm a journalist" defense in previous cases

Last week Portland #Antifa 'activist' Richard Hernandez was sentenced to 1 year probation for doing $160k in damage to federal buildings in #Portland. Sentence is in line with @USAO_OR's recommendation.

Sentencing also indicates he won't have to pay any restitution.

Prominent Portland Antifa 'journo' Melissa Alexandra Lewis arrested yesterday for criminal mischief (vandalism generally) while armed with concealed weapons.

Richard Tyler Hunsinger pleaded guilty to federal charges on Thursday for attacking a federal building with a nail bomb during a 2020 BLM "Rally against fascism" in #Atlanta

Sentencing set for 1/19/23, no recommended sentence in plea deal. Hunsinger is still free on 10k bail.

He was originally charged with arson, civil disorder, and property destruction.

Pled only to the last two charges, which means he avoids the federal mandatory 5 year minimum for arson.

Samantha Shader was sentenced to 6 years in federal prison today for a firebombing attack on a NYPD van (with 3 officers in it) during the 2020 George Floyd riots.

USAO had asked for 87-108 months in sentencing recommendation.
