Local communities once did have autonomy, but such autonomy becomes less and less possible as local communities become more enmeshed with and dependent on large-scale systems like public utilities, computer networks, highway systems, the mass communications media, the modern health care system.

Also operating against autonomy is the fact that technology applied in one location often affects people at other locations far away. Thus pesticide or chemical use near a creek may contaminate the water supply hundreds of miles downstream, and the greenhouse effect affects the whole world.

The system does not and cannot exist to satisfy human needs. Instead, it is human behavior that has to be modified to fit the needs of the system.

This has nothing to do with the political or social ideology that may pretend to guide the technological system. It is the fault of technology, because the system is guided not by ideology but by technical necessity.

"The protector of life bases his arguments on sound reasoning. Scientists across the world are unanimous in their verdict: if economic growth
continues at the current pace, human civilisation will collapse within a
few decades. Those who consider things in the long run envisage the
extinction of humanity as a consequence of ecological catastrophes."

I am guessing most of you have seen the situation with Iran and Israel.

I don't want to try to fear monger, or make anyone panic, but I quite literally think we are headed towards either a technocratic dystopia or the incoming collapse of the system.

Either there is a huge war, shit hits the fan, and it all leads to the collapse of the system as we know it, or if Iran and the rest of the countries opposing this new world order go down, the situation is not looking Bright.

Whatever the case is, get ready for big changes, be ready to survive if the lights go out, be ready to escape if the system makes it's control over the world tighter, be ready to resists the oncoming dystopia, or survive in a world without modern Convinces.

The concept of "mental health" in our society is defined largely by the extent to which an individual behaves in accord with the needs of the system and does so without showing signs of stress.

"It is important to recognize that a successful revolutionary
movement may start out as a tiny and despised group of "crackpots" who
are taken seriously by no one but themselves. The movement may remain
insignificant and powerless for many years before it finds its opportunity
and achieves success."

Today marks 1000 days since Ted Kaczynski died in prison. Quite Ironic that the man who wanted to be free in the wilderness died captive in a cell. May his soul rest in peace and his message Against technology live on.

Rest in peace Ted โค๏ธ

Given a person who devotes much time and energy to the pursuit of goal X, ask yourself this: If he had to devote most of his time and energy to satisfying his bio-logical needs, and if that effort required him to use his physical and mental faculties in a varied and interesting way, would he feel seriously deprived because he did not attain goal X? If the answer is no, then the person's pursuit of a goal X is a surrogate activity.

"The whole texture of life is determined by society. Consider all the evils that are imposed on the individual by the system. To mention a few: air and water pollution; the threat of atomic war; overcrowding and traffic congestion; noise; bureaucratic red tape; the draft; destruction of the wilderness; the omnipresence of vulgar, intrusive, manipulative advertising; etcโ€ฆ Furthermore, the individual living independently can at least reasonably attempt to alleviate his hardships. If he is cold he can make a fire or build a better hut. If game gets scarce he can try, at least, to find an area where it is more plentiful. His decisions count; he is not helpless. But what can the individual do about air pollution or overpopulation?" - Ted Kaczynski

"The US is the most wretchedly villainous state of all times. Anyone aware of global issues can easily imagine how the vast hatred for the United States - a corrupted, swollen, paralysing and suffocating political entity - must be across the Third world - and among the thinking minority of the west too."

"Remember, we're living in the greatest time in human history!"

The techno-industrial system wants us domesticated, docile and obedient. They don't want us to question the state of affairs. They want us depressed, anxious, obese and sick so they can sell us drugs to treat the problems they caused. They want us to buy the latest useless gadgets and sweatshop made clothes and shoes. Above all, they want us to fight amongst ourselves, to separate ourselves by race, gender and ideology, to distract us from what's really going on.

Will you give in, or will you resist?

โ€œFinally, one learns that boredom is a disease of civilization. It seems to me that what boredom mostly is is that people have to keep themselves entertained or occupied, because if they arenโ€™t, then certain anxieties, frustrations, discontents, and so forth, start coming to the surface, and it makes them uncomfortable. Boredom is almost nonexistent once youโ€™ve become adapted to life in the woods. If you donโ€™t have any work that needs to be done, you can sit for hours at a time just doing nothing, just listening to the birds or the wind or the silence, watching the shadows move as the sun travels, or simply looking at familiar objects. And you donโ€™t get bored. Youโ€™re just at peace.โ€

International Day of Forests

A slightly different topic, but today is International Day of Forests. The reason is the global destruction of our forests by human hands.

To go with that, you can go outside today, plant a tree if you want, or simply enjoy the time.

The system's neatest trick.

To understand what the trick is, we first have to understand what the system itself is, and is not. For starters, it has to be stated that while people in positions of power and people with authority (politicians, billionaires etc.) and people who help them exert their authority (cops, military) are servants of the system, they don't constitute it. The reason for this being that their personal beliefs may actually be in conflict with what's beneficial for the system. A quick example would be police brutality. A cop who beats a suspect is not a cop who does the system's work, as violence is not beneficial to the system. He is merely letting out his own rage. This also applies to, for example, politicians. Corrupt politicians existing doesn't mean that corruption is beneficial to the system, and as long as they don't publicly condone acts of stealing and corruption, they are still obedient servants of the system.
