👆🏻Very true. Liberals are overly empathetic to people who shouldn't matter to them, and downright vile to the people who should matter to them.

It’s the May full moon tonight (and for some a lunar eclipse) marking the start of Þrimilcemōnaþ or Thrice-milk month. Having just calved, cows could be milked three times a day. These cows would have been driven through the ritual May Day fires called ‘need-fires’.

Tonight we will be giving blôt to Béowa and Béole who appear in the Lokasenna as Byggvir and Beyla, both are servants of Fréa. Béowa means barley but he has been connected through etymology to Beowulf (Bee-wolf or Barley-wolf) whilst Béole could be from baun (*baunilo) ‘bean’ or *biuilo meaning bee, which is the more common interpretation but she is also associated with cattle. Her name is sometimes likened to Bel or Bell who is the wife of the giant Wade, however Bel is sometimes given as the name of Wade’s cow.

Work for yourself, if you can. If it’s not immediately possible, work towards making it happen. It costs more time initially but grants you more in the long run.

I couldn’t describe my relationship history with employers as positive.

I work very hard but I’m not reliable in the present day corporate interpretation of that word, because I prioritise my time, personal standards and what I believe over what some company expects of me. And I’ve never regretted it.

These days, you’re expected to hide and compromise your standards, your beliefs and even yourself in exchange for a meagre wage handed down by some company man who doesn’t actually give a shit about you –and you’re supposed to be grateful for it, “Count yourself lucky” they say, “Because we can replace you with Pajeet from India tomorrow if need be. He’ll work for less. You’re lucky to be here.

But I say they are the lucky ones, lucky the masses have been made scared and desperate enough to tolerate these conditions.

It won’t be like this forever. I feel a rage burning in the workers that grows a little hotter each day.

If you rely on external sources for appreciation, nothing will ever be enough and you’ll be a slave to those sources.

This is very important to understand:
Personal freedom is to live without needing to be appreciated for what you do, say and believe. You also have to be able to derive confidence from within yourself. Generate your own energy. Be driven by your own spirit not by the words and petty praises of others.

Avoid noise and look for quiet.

Avoid talking to kill time and spend time thinking.

Think about what has happened and try to understand why it’s happening.

Write down your thoughts to better understand them.

Don’t despair, don’t think always of how difficult things are or about what you lack. Be grateful for what you have and trust yourself, that you’ll be able to withstand and overcome anything.

Build more muscle, increase your strength, increase your confidence.

Life isn’t that hard.

Please don't mow the lawn this month and leave some dandelions for bees and other insects.

I am the savior of my soul.

The god of my mind.

The sculpter of my physicality and strength.

The creator of my future.

The example for my descendants.

And in the end, what I was in life will be the only necessary testament for my worldview.

Finding your Fylgja: Spirit Animal in Norse Mythology

The Norse sources mention what's known as a fylgja ("fetch") - a personal spirit animal every individual has with them.

Here we look at where one's fylgja appears in dreams in the Norse sources and how dreams regarding one's fylgja are interpreted in the Sagas by the personages featured within them.
