Today we celebrate Hlafmas, more commonly known as Lammas or Lughnasadh. It is the midway point between the summer solstice and the autumn equinox. 🌕

This is also the celebration of the first harvest of the wheat. Farmers would have to present the freshly harvested wheat to their landlords by the first of August. 🌾

The harvest was celebrated by baking bread. The bread was blessed and a piece was placed in each corner of the barn to protect the harvest. 🍞

Real interesting conversation with Max about something called "The Phoenix Phenomenon"👇🏻👇🏻
Here is an idea. It would solve the fertilizer issue.

🌿In antiquity every tree, every spring, every stream, every hill had its own genius loci, its guardian spirit. These spirits were accessible to men, but were very unlike men; centaurs, fauns, and mermaids show their ambivalence. Before one cut a tree, mined a mountain, or dammed a brook, it was important to placate the spirit in charge of that particular situation, and to keep it placated. By destroying pagan animism, Christianity made it possible to exploit nature in a mood of indifference to the feelings of natural objects.

The illusion is agreeing to live in a world parallel to nature that you took no part in creating. Participating in a system that uses you to prop itself up. Adhering to laws and conditions created by others with the thought that it is done on your behalf for your betterment. The illusion is that somebody else knows what is better for you.

Nothing in nature acts this way or agrees to these conditions.

Animals don't obey laws that animal councils created. They just adhere to their nature and the natural world around them.

I am so happy that they are more aware of our heritage and our ancestors, because now they protected this burialmound. Last year there was a mountainbike path still over it, now that path is gone.

He's getting rightly ratiod for this nonsense take.
instantly examples like flooding north America with brown Catholics come to mind which make this take make no sense and should be obvious to any right thinking person.
Cognitive dissonance is a necessary component of Christianity.

Unlike the Christian those that uphold the natural law are supposed to live, fully. He is supposed to expand his abilities and unfold his personality as much as he can within the boundaries of his biological nature - both physically and spiritually. He is not supposed to spend his life on his knees in front of a Middle Eastern god, begging for mercy and forgiveness for the “sin” of having been born into Nature. We want to see proud and harmonious people who are confident of themselves and their mission in life - not frightened and dejected products of misanthropic conceptions like “original sin”, which only leaves man one pleasure in life: that “God” will forgive you, if you just believe and repent. Nor do we want the diffident and despairing victims of the pluralistic world view with its denial of absolute values. We are not atheists. We do believe in a deity, but our deity is an absolute contrast to the Jewish-Christian Jahwe.
Those that uphold the natural law, have one true deity: the inscrutable creative power that is manifested everywhere in Nature. That is the deity we pay our tribute to by showing veneration and respect for the wisdom of the laws of Nature. We follow no other voice than the voice of Nature and no other ethic than the ethic of Nature, and we know only one mortal sin: to try and revolt against this ethic.

“Never lose hope, be persistent and stubborn and never give up. There are many instances in history where apparent losers suddenly turn out to be winners unexpectedly, so you should never conclude all hope is lost.”
