The Midsummer Festival refers to the celebration around the summer solstice on June 21. Originally in pre-Christian times this was celebrated on June 24, so three days after the actual solstice. In the 7th century this celebration was already banned in the Netherlands. Fortunately, this is increasingly being restored and rightly so! I think it's important to restore our old celebrations!

You can do this by, for example, bringing back some pagan elements such as: Inviting your friends and lighting a bonfire, collecting medicinal herbs, such as St. John's wort, erecting a maypole and clubbing a symbolic rooster.
