Originally, abrahamic religion did not believe in the existence of a soul or afterlife, but history can show us through research that most ancient heathens and polytheists did.
They (abrahamics) believed when one passed from this realm, that was it. Finished. Fade to black..

Ancient Judaism thought that was true of all of us. The soul doesn’t continue outside the body, subject to pleasure or pain, heaven or hell (also a later invention). It just doesn’t exist any longer.
This utterly materialistic worldview was traditionally believed amongst ancient Jews and carried on until decades after creation of christianity.
In order to justify a more substantial claim to the new cult on the block, Platonic philosophy was added later to their religion to shore up loose ends to make their messiah live up to his title.

The belief in the hereafter was borrowed from pagans and blended as a key tenant to abrahamic theological practice.

A great many people are waiting for a savior. Some don't believe in that, because they think the responsibility to make things right is nobody's but their own. But this is a problem because those who want to accept responsibility not only have to battle against those who have planned their destruction but they also have to battle against all those who are waiting to be saved. In fact, the waiters are more dangerous to survival than those who would like to see our demise. The two groups are interlinked in an ancient spiral of destruction. The planners plan, the waiters wait, and each decade the goal draws nearer.

Ostara shows us
that life always wins,
that after all that dark and gray
everything grows again.

If I had to pick one verse that convincingly shows that the god of biblical scripture is in fact a jewish god and not any god of the European tribes, it would be Deuteronomy 15:6

"For the LORD your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you"

This practice of lending is the most destructive tool against nations. Those who wield this tool have the power to create or destroy any nation. They have the power to inflict suffering of infinite proportions to get what they desire.

History shows us how it has been used over and over to destroy nations no matter how powerful. History has shown us who insists on engaging in this practice and that it is the same people by blood as those of the scriptures. The god represented in the scriptures is the god of the people who practice it.

Anyone of European blood who would follow this god would be one who acknowledges the scriptures and either accepts this practice of lending to be used in the destruction of his own tribe, or he believes that it is rightfully his practice to be used against other nations in the same disgusting horrific manner that it has been used against nations for millennia.

Some will say a new covenant outlawed it, others can successfully argue those laws were intended only for gentiles, not the true people whose god granted it to them.

The European Spirit is cut from other Gods. From Gods of European Blood. From the righteous who believe in honor, struggle, truth, beauty. The European nature is very distinct and far from anything resembling the nature of those from biblical scripture. Far from anything as deceitful and as slaving as lending for profit.

I believe one of the barriers to people exploring paganism is the lack of certainty over when and how to honour the holy days. Disagreement over exact days will continue, so I would assure you all that it's more important to hold rites at all, and with the right spirit, than to do so on the 'correct' day and in the 'correct' manner. Rigidity and fear of imperfect method deter would-be pagans.

For my last birthday my friend Adam sent me a copy of the book 'To Hold the Holytides' by Þórbeorht Ealdorblótere. It has already become my personal go-to reference for when to perform the seasonal rites, as it draws upon comprehensive historical sources.

I thought I'd share with you all that this book concludes that Ēostre is to be celebrated at the 'Pink Moon' (April full moon), which is tonight. As such, my family will welcome Ēostre's dawn sun tomorrow morning by performing a simple blót, and eating pancakes and homemade sourdough hot cross buns (which my daughters decorated themselves with crosses and runes).

I totally agree with Dan (post above). One shouldn't be so rigid in trying to recreate the past that they stifle all intuition and inspiration. Truth is we can never know exactly how rituals, blots and rites were performed or when. We do our best to learn from historical resources, but in the absence of this information, do what you find to be the most spiritually rewarding.

Do this today :

Go stand in the mirror. Really look at yourself and your features. Then I want you to understand that you are looking at thousands of years of Northern European heritage gathered into one single entity - YOU !

Everything our people have done up to this moment has led to you and I.

What will YOU do with that understanding ?

Every time I post something about christianity and it's foreign and negative effects on our European tribes and our Natural Spirituality, I lose 10 or so subscribers. Only the courageous can contemplate their reality and consider the spells they could be under. Some are gripped by fear at the thought of letting go and becoming truly responsible, truly free. Truly connected with reality, instead of dogma. If a seed had been planted then may they wander back to their people and find their truth and confidence.
