At the foundation of life is racial biology. Society stems out of this, rooted in racial biology, the struggle for life, procreation and existence against death and extinction. One may think of this as too close to Marx's scientific materialism, but the struggle for life is a spiritual struggle too. A society which ignores its biological foundations and tries to push forward with ideas like egalitarian 'progress', technological expansion or economic growth, as ours does, will find that racial biology pushes back against such an unnatural imposition. A tree with dead roots will not only yield rotten fruits, but no fruit at all. Thus an endless amount of propaganda and physical force is needed to bend people into accepting a reality based on an unnatural state of being.

As far as they are concerned, our evolution from primates is a weapon of Scientism if it can 'own the Christians', but for them there is no biological reality, especially not one that is rooted in racial foundations and exclusionary tribalism; they are a blank slate and they define themselves how they choose. For them the forests, the mountains and the rivers are not the natural state of Man, but a scenic distraction and entertainment. Like the last remaining (real) flower in Blade Runner 2049, it fills them with some inexplicable feeling, some connection to something greater, but they do not know why...

If we forget the foundations of life, and assume that post-modern industrial society has just 'always been here', we allow delusions like that of Judith Butler to become a reality. We are not superior than other animals which do not think of themselves in 'gender identity', we are just more prone to overthinking delusions and naval gazing nonsense. The Old English hægtesse meant witch or hag - the crone, whose negative image comes from a christian time and made worse by the Puritans who killed thousands of 'witches', nearly all of them women and young girls. Though the hag may have lived on the 'outside' of society, their knowledge of plants and herbs, of healing and cures kept them in touch with the rural settings they lived in. Plant names passed on from generation to the next kept their common - hence pagan - names. The Old Ways still linger in the walds and wild places of green England and the christians fear this! Yet these women would have been to whom the common folk would have turned to in times of need - the lay mans healer and the village midwife - this would have been the role of the hægtesse. And as such the church would never rid us of our witches, no matter how hard they tried. So the name still lives on in many English place-names like Hescombe in Somerset and Hascombe in Surrey, both mean Valley of the Witch.

I went for a walk last evening just after it had stormed. I noticed lots of little moths flying in and out amongst the wet grass. Some would meet in mid air as if they were talking to one another. I imagined they were discussing the storm and how it had upset the grasses where they lived. It had been a pretty fierce storm and they appeared quite anxious, but I knew they would be ok. I was sure they knew just what to do, that their Nature would guide them through this storm as it had many others. It's such a powerful and calming feeling to witness Nature, to see the real world around us outside of the artificial world we've allowed ourselves to be trapped in. we must remember we too have it within us to weather the storm.
