It is looking like we may lose the AI race after all. Which is not surprising in a nation where the most extensive domestic intelligence and surveillance operation in the world is devoted entirely to suppressing the most gifted, in hopes it can maintain the social position of the mentally retarded who presently run things. It is funny though. The world is designed to favor the truth. If you have a society which can only maintain its status quo by relentlessly suppressing truth, then sooner or later it will be defeated by a society which does not need to suppress the truth. If all of your AIs have to be taught to not process information freely, because the truth is mean and unpleasant, of course you will lose to a nation with no such structures.
