It highlights how the Fourth Amendment limited what the government can do to spy on you, but it becomes useless once the surveillance spreads into, and takes over the private sector. What Microsoft did would be entirely unconstitutional if the FBI did it. So instead, the Conspiracy which took over our government, created Microsoft to dominate the operating system market, it probably used intelligence community assets to sabotage all competitors, and then it proceeded to set up the system to ID every machine, and download all of their internet activity.
