You would think car-makers would respond to the desires of their customers, just as you would think elected officials would respond to the desires of their voters. But in both cases, clearly the politicians and the carmakers are actually working to please another, as yet unidentified enemy, which will at some point be revealed as the US intelligence community. I knew somebody who lived in that area when the Somalis were brought in.
